2. Adobe InDesign CS6
This is the software which I will be using to construct
my whole magazine. Magazines in the real world also
use this software and it has a professional layout and
it is very easy to use - if you know how to use it. It
also lets you set out the feature articles out in a
professional way , e.g. you have 3 column's on each
of the pages, it is giving the page a professional
affect. It helps me make my magazine as appealing
as possible through the use of its excellent tools and
features that are provided.
3. Adobe Photoshop CS6
It is used to editing my photos to make them
look more professional. Photoshop is a great toll
to use when you want to remove a background
from a picture, this is what I did on my images. I
also made some changes to some part of the
images to give it a different affect towards the
page . If my model had any spots on their faces, I
could simply use the airbrush affect to oath this
up, again, a very easy process
4. Canon 5 50D Digital SLR
This is the camera that I sued for my photo-
shoot within school, the camera is very easy to
use and is very light so it makes it easier to use.
The cost of the Canon 5 50D Digital SLR ranges
from the prices of £250 - £350. of course the
camera is the most important element of all the
equipment that I used which is why I chose to
use the one which produces such a high quality
images as well as being easy to use. I placed a
memory card within the camera while I took my
photos, then I transferred the pictures to the
computer.
5. Canon zoom lens EF-S 18-55mm
1:3.5.6 IS II
This is the lens that I used and the one
which I had attached on the end of the
camera. As I said the camera I used was very
lightweight, this lens is also a lightweight
which is a huge advantage when wanting to
take pictures form all different angles. The
cost of the Canon zoom lens EF-S 18-55mm
1:3.5.6 IS II ranges from £60 - £100. this lens
also produces high quality in the images at
all point of its focusing which is why I chose
to use it.
6. White screen/Black Screen (Photo-shoot)
This is a great piece of equipment to have when
conducing a photo-shoot, you have pictures with
the model posing in front of the white or black
screen which makes the pictures look very
professional and bright. The cost of a small white
screen can be around £10 or more and the cost of
a larger one can go up to £30, it just depends on
what size you want. All magazines in the real
world use this pieces of equipment for their photo
shoot in house, which is why I chose to use it,
because it makes my magazine look very
professional and it will attract people towards it.
7. Interfit Stellar X Studio Flash light
These are the lights which are placed around
the white screen during my photo shoot.
These lights flash each time you take a picture
to create the picture at a better quality. You
can adjust the setting of them e.g. Voltage of
the light flash, depending on how you would
like you photo to look like. The cost of the
Interfit Stellar X Studio flash light are around
£120, but they can only be used indoors
photo-shoots.
