Comparing lighting techniques in virtual and physical models
1. Success- There is a blue tint in to the models face as in the virtual models and the same amount of face is lit up as in the
virtual model which mean that the lighting was set in the same way as in the programme.
Weaknesses- As in the virtual model the eyes on the model are lit up with the blue gel, however with my model firstly, she is
not looking at the camera and secondly the blue tine lights up the whole face rather than just particular areas.
2. Strengths - There is a mostly red tint in to the models face as in the virtual models in addition to this you can still see the blue tint on
the models face. Also there is the same amount of face is lit up as in the virtual model which mean that the lighting was set in the same
way as in the programme.
Weaknesses- However, it could be said that there is too much of the red gel (as it is the stronger colour) and not enough blue which
may mean that a weaker more pink gel may be needed next time to make the image look like the virtual one. In addition to this , there
is too much of a shadow created. On the virtual model there is barely if any shadow created whereas on my model there is 2 sets of
shadows created.
