2. Mission
We provide OEMs and SIs (System Integrators) with a
competitive advantage within their own markets by enabling
tailored power electronics systems.
We do this by developing equipment which enables
customized solutions, freeing SIs and OEMs from the generic
equipment which is available on the market today.

3. Power Electronics?
Used in a variety of applications:
3
Converting DC toAC to connect battery
banks to the utility grid
Converting AC (grid) to DC to charge a vehicle,or
controlling a high-speed traction motor

5. Background
EPC was founded in 2010, with a mission to be
wholly focused on the development and production
of engineered power electronics systems at greater
than 100kW (130HP).
From inception, the company has focused on
building its core technology to gain leverage in
diverse market segments.
EPC was “boot-strapped” and primarily funded by its
customers and has grown to multiple markets and
product lines.

7. Selected Product Lines
7
DG-LC12/3 – EPC’s LC12/3 line provides 3-wire control for the highest power
applications. 30v – 1250v DC input is provided across the top 2 terminals. The
LC12/3-5 can manage up to 500kW of power and the LC12/3-7 can provide
up to 700kW in the same form factor.
MG-LC12/6 - EPC’s LC12/6 line provides 4-wire control with two DC inputs
for microgrid power applications. 30v – 1250v DC input is provided across the
top 2 terminals or two on the front. The LC12/3-5 can provide 4 quadrant
control of up to 130kW of power and the LC12/6-7 can provide up to 165kW
in the same form factor.
DCDC-LC12/6 – EPC’s DCDC converter can provide up to 580kW of DC
power per modules. The highly configureable unit is highly reliable for critical
operations and has even eliminated internal fans for our liquid cooled units.
RS-11 & RS-12 – EPC’s automotive grade drivetrian inverters has been
designed for IP67 environmental protection and thus can operate within up to
9 feet of water. The unit is ideal for Class 3 – Class 8 truck drivetrain controls.
V2G Export Power – EPC has packaged our MG-LC12/6, supporting grid
filters, and coolant system into a single IP67 rated container. The product is
built for Class 3 Utility Bucket Trucks but works well in marine or larger truck
deployments.
Industrial Waste Water Blower Controller – 200kw DFE (Diode Front End)
unidirectional motor drive for controlled blowers in a waste water treatment
facility.
9. Centralized utility control systems
are unable to respond to sub-cycle
local energy dynamics.
Grid management is shifting to
automated real-time reactive
control of distributed systems with
multiple owners.
9
10. Distributed Technology Enables the ‘Smart Grid’
10
Digital equipment acts as a “power gateway.” By processing power through
converters, high-power systems become fully internet-addressable & computer-
controllable.
This both enables the smart grid and increases energy efficiency.
(Smart) inverters are the brain or voice of distributed systems.
EPC Power’s systems are all “smart grid enabled” by design.
15. Facilities
EPC has over 15,000 square feet of office, lab, and manufacturingspace in Poway
CA. EPC has the latest in test and acquisition equipment, and the facility is also
equipped with the requisite power for development and testing of high power
conversion systems. EPC has California and Alabama based contract manufacturers
that are capable of both low and high volume product runs. These CM's are certified
for industrial and military production.
