Many relationships fail due to lack of trust, wrong speech that hurts the other person, and attempts to overpower or change the partner. It is better to focus on improving communication and accepting each other rather than pointing fingers or being overly critical. Perceptions vary between individuals, so it is not good to be overly concerned with others' opinions. Patience is important, as anger can lead to actions that damage the relationship irreparably. An appreciative attitude towards one's current situation, rather than always wanting something better, contributes to a good life.

**Summary of "The 5 Love Languages" by Gary Chapman**
Gary Chapman's book, "The 5 Love Languages," delves into the complexities of human relationships by exploring how individuals express and receive love. Chapman introduces the concept that each person has a primary love language through which they best perceive and communicate affection. The book categorizes these love languages into five distinct types, providing a framework for readers to better understand their own emotional needs and those of their partners.
2. Words of Affirmation:
This love language emphasizes the power of verbal expressions to convey love. Individuals with this love language appreciate compliments, words of encouragement, and verbal affirmation. Chapman explains how positive words can significantly impact relationships, boosting self-esteem and creating emotional connection.
2. Acts of Service:
For those whose love language is acts of service, actions speak louder than words. Chapman discusses the importance of performing thoughtful gestures and acts of service to demonstrate love. Simple acts like cooking a meal, completing chores, or helping with tasks can deeply resonate with individuals who prioritize this love language.
3. Receiving Gifts:
This love language revolves around the significance of tangible expressions of love. Chapman explores how thoughtful and meaningful gifts can strengthen the emotional connection between partners. The book emphasizes that it's the sentiment behind the gift that holds value rather than the material item itself.
4. Quality Time:
Quality time focuses on the importance of undivided attention and shared experiences. Chapman describes how spending meaningful time together, engaging in conversations, and being fully present are crucial components of expressing love for individuals with this love language.
5. Physical Touch:
Physical touch is identified as a love language characterized by the power of physical affection. Chapman discusses the impact of gestures such as hugs, kisses, and other forms of touch in conveying love and building intimacy. Understanding and fulfilling this need for physical closeness is vital for individuals with this love language.
Throughout the book, Chapman provides real-life examples, anecdotes, and practical advice on how individuals can identify their primary love language and that of their partners. He emphasizes the significance of open communication and a willingness to learn and adapt to each other's love languages for building lasting and fulfilling relationships.
"The 5 Love Languages" serves as a valuable guide for individuals seeking to enhance their emotional connections, fostering deeper understanding and intimacy in their relationships. By recognizing and speaking their partner's primary love language, readers are encouraged to create stronger bonds and cultivate enduring love.

Emotional quotes on husband wife relationship itself explain that there is no relationship without emotions. Hectic lifestyle brings out sparks of emotional bursts now and then. Husband Romantic Love Quotes For Wife that sooth your spouse from stress shows how much you care for the feelings and respect it, which helps develop love and strong bonding.
Loneliness is a part of a Romantic relationship. Love disappears if proper respect and love is not shown to your spouse. The sense of responsibility that you have for your spouse is very important to develop emotional trust and strong bonding.
We believe that some relationships are so very strong that they can resist anything, but that’s not true. The fading confidence, the weariness, the bad choices, the injustices of fate, everything contributes to killing love. In this kind of unequal combat, the chances of victory are slim and are more of the exception than the rule.
Husband Wife Sad Status
1) “Two hearts once inseparable, now lost in the storm of silence.”
2) “In the garden of our love, the flowers have wilted and the tears have taken over.”
3) “Once a team, now strangers passing by in the hallway of life.”
4) “The laughter we shared has turned into echoes of emptiness.”
5) “Promises made, dreams shattered, and love’s embers turned to ashes.”
6) “In the album of memories, the pages of happiness are fading away.”
7) “A love story that started with a smile, now drowning in a sea of tears.”
8) “The distance between us isn’t measured in miles, but in the silence of unspoken words.”
9) “We used to be the lyrics to each other’s songs; now we’re just a broken melody.”
10) “When love turns into a question mark, the heart knows only how to weep.”
Emotional Quotes on Husband Wife Relationship
The relationship between a husband and wife can be a beautiful thing, or it can be a source of warmth, sorrow, frustration and joy depending on the actions taken by both parties.
A healthy marriage is one that is based on mutual respect, trust and a deep love each partner feels for the other. There are many motivational quotes about the relationship between a husband and wife, and we want to share with you some of the best ones of them all.
While there are many emotions you can feel in your relationships, there are two that are most common. One of these is called “joy.” These feelings of happiness can come from any part of your relationships; it just depends on which one it is.
1) “I just want to feel like I belong.”
2) “I wanted to kill someone and I wanted to die. I wanted to run as far and as fast as I could because she was never coming back. She had fallen off the face of the earth and she was never coming back.”
3) “I wonder if you know what you are doing to me.”
4) “If you would be loved, love, and be loveable.”
5) You will be my one and only; my everything. I love you and appreciate you for loving me.
6) We have reached the highest level of love. I don’t need anybody in my life.
Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!
Title: Sense of Smell
Presenter: Dr. Faiza, Assistant Professor of Physiology
Qualifications:
MBBS (Best Graduate, AIMC Lahore)
FCPS Physiology
ICMT, CHPE, DHPE (STMU)
MPH (GC University, Faisalabad)
MBA (Virtual University of Pakistan)
Learning Objectives:
Describe the primary categories of smells and the concept of odor blindness.
Explain the structure and location of the olfactory membrane and mucosa, including the types and roles of cells involved in olfaction.
Describe the pathway and mechanisms of olfactory signal transmission from the olfactory receptors to the brain.
Illustrate the biochemical cascade triggered by odorant binding to olfactory receptors, including the role of G-proteins and second messengers in generating an action potential.
Identify different types of olfactory disorders such as anosmia, hyposmia, hyperosmia, and dysosmia, including their potential causes.
Key Topics:
Olfactory Genes:
3% of the human genome accounts for olfactory genes.
400 genes for odorant receptors.
Olfactory Membrane:
Located in the superior part of the nasal cavity.
Medially: Folds downward along the superior septum.
Laterally: Folds over the superior turbinate and upper surface of the middle turbinate.
Total surface area: 5-10 square centimeters.
Olfactory Mucosa:
Olfactory Cells: Bipolar nerve cells derived from the CNS (100 million), with 4-25 olfactory cilia per cell.
Sustentacular Cells: Produce mucus and maintain ionic and molecular environment.
Basal Cells: Replace worn-out olfactory cells with an average lifespan of 1-2 months.
Bowman’s Gland: Secretes mucus.
Stimulation of Olfactory Cells:
Odorant dissolves in mucus and attaches to receptors on olfactory cilia.
Involves a cascade effect through G-proteins and second messengers, leading to depolarization and action potential generation in the olfactory nerve.
Quality of a Good Odorant:
Small (3-20 Carbon atoms), volatile, water-soluble, and lipid-soluble.
Facilitated by odorant-binding proteins in mucus.
Membrane Potential and Action Potential:
Resting membrane potential: -55mV.
Action potential frequency in the olfactory nerve increases with odorant strength.
Adaptation Towards the Sense of Smell:
Rapid adaptation within the first second, with further slow adaptation.
Psychological adaptation greater than receptor adaptation, involving feedback inhibition from the central nervous system.
Primary Sensations of Smell:
Camphoraceous, Musky, Floral, Pepperminty, Ethereal, Pungent, Putrid.
Odor Detection Threshold:
Examples: Hydrogen sulfide (0.0005 ppm), Methyl-mercaptan (0.002 ppm).
Some toxic substances are odorless at lethal concentrations.
Characteristics of Smell:
Odor blindness for single substances due to lack of appropriate receptor protein.
Behavioral and emotional influences of smell.
Transmission of Olfactory Signals:
From olfactory cells to glomeruli in the olfactory bulb, involving lateral inhibition.
Primitive, less old, and new olfactory systems with different path
2. TRUSTTRUST
TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is
broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion,
suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in
separation.
A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She
answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB."
There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she
Heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my
Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."
Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the
telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".
3. RIGHT SPEECHRIGHT SPEECH
There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "A speech will either prosper or ruin a
nation." Many relationships break off because of wrong speech. When a couple is too close with
each other we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without
considering if it would hurt the other party.
A friend and her millionaire husband visited their construction site. A worker who wore a helmet
saw her and shouted, "Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school." On
the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me. Otherwise you will be
the wife of a construction worker." She answered ,"You should appreciate that you married me.
Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."
Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship. It's like a broken
egg - cannot be reversed.
4. NO OVERPOWERINGNO OVERPOWERING
Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another, or demands
too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will
change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a
Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "It is easier to reshape a mountain or
a river than a person's character."
It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse
character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness.
It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..
5. CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?CREATING PERFECT RELATIONSHIPS?
A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a
spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please."
"Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to
accompany me the whole day at home during my
leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for
conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I
understand you need television."
There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband
because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the
nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual
perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and
discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.
6. NO POINTING FINGERSNO POINTING FINGERS
A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you
please share with me your secret?"
The father-in-law answered in a smile, "Never criticize your wife for her shortcomings or when
she does something wrong. Always bare in mind that because of her shortcomings and
weaknesses, she could not find a better husband than you."
We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face.
Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the
finger at. This is the start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger
at a person, the other four fingers are pointing at ourselves.
If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.
7. PERSONAL PERCEPTIONPERSONAL PERCEPTION
Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be another man's poison. A
couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home, a boy commented, "Very stupid. Why
neither of them ride on the donkey?“ Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the
donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is the head
of the family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?" Hearing this, the
wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey.
Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the
donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman."
The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He
commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you."
Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on
their shoulders.
It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and
struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you,
nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.
Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..
8. BE PATIENTBE PATIENT
This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new
truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint
of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp
as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.
Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the
fingers from both the boy's hands. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged
stubs, he innocently said, " Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my
fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.
Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or you wish to take revenge.
Think first before you lose your patience with someone you love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken
bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the
person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.
People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes.
But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.
