Subject : Items for the charity sale
Hi Wani,
There are many things that you can contribute for the charity sale such as books, shoes and
electronics. Everyone would like to read a good book and have another pair of shoes. Electronics
such as hairdryers and irons are something people search for too. If you have these at home and you
no longer want them, it would be better for you to give them for the charity sale. I hope that I would
see you at the sale this weekend.

2. Section C
(i) It was a Sunday afternoon. Samy was alone at home. He felt bored so he looked around
for something to play. He went into the kitchen and found a box of matches in the drawer.
He had an idea.
He took some old newspapers from the store room. He lighted the newspapers and was
excited to see the fire glowed. Just then, his parents came home. His father smelt
something burning and rushed into the kitchen. He was shocked to see the fire. He quickly
went to get a pail of water from the bathroom and put out the fire. His parents were very
angry. They scolded Samy and warned him not to play with fire again.
(ii) Last Sunday, Kim Hock and his family went to the beach by car. He was very excited
as it was his first time going to the beach. Once they reached the beach, they found a nice spot
and laid the mat to put the food and drinks.
After that, Kim Hock and his father went snorkelling. He was fascinated to see the
amazing coral. He was excited to see the colourful fishes too.
Once out of the water, Kim Hock went for a walk along the beach. He saw more sea
creatures such as the crabs. Kim Hock and his family enjoyed their outing very much. They went
home feeling happy and satisfied.
