FAMOUS
BRANDS
AND
THEIR
BRAND
IDENTITY
Double "C", two letters which merge back to back.
The famous logo was introduced in the fashion world in 1925, on the perfume label,
Chanel No. 5, one of the most bought perfumes even today. Immediately after
launch, it could be seen everywhere.
There are a lot of versions of the history of this
logo.
According to one, Mikhail Vrubel was the person
who combined the two horseshoes, resembling to
the modern Chanel logo.
Another story says that the two merged horseshoes
are a symbol of
success and good fortune.
It is said that Coco Chanel herself was the one
who in 1925 designed the famous logo of the
brand Chanel.
She had spent half of his childhood in an
orphanage, that being the period which
encouraged her to design the logo.
But there is another story, according to the two ‘C’
"embrace" would be a combination of her name
and the initial of the man whom she loved with all
her heart, Capel.
However, the most plausible is that the
logo was created after the initials of the famous
Coco Chanel, the founder
of the French fashion house.
