An Informed World - Creating Awareness Through Social Mediab_swift
Social media is an excellent platform to spread awareness of causes and gains funds for projects. It is becoming an extremely powerful tool. Despite critics, the knowledge and information it spreads is always helpful. Donations cannot be made unless people are aware of the project, and there is no better way to spread awareness than through social media.
This presentation gives an overview of some of the barriers to technology enhanced learning (TEL) in NHS locations presented at the NHS-HE Forum meeting held on 25 November 2014. It summarises some of the key points being presented in a paper for the NHS HEE - HEA TEL Hub Technology Working Group prepared by Malcolm Teague of Jisc (Janet) and Natalie Lafferty, University of Dundee.

Increasing Conference Collaboration By Shifting From A Market-Share Environme...Jeff Hurt
We are living in a world of hinge time (Collaborative Intelligence authors Dawna Markov and Angie McArthur). Our conferences are planned to educate attendees for an era that no longer exists. The challenges our attendees face are vastly different from the ones of the past.
Most of our conference attendees were educated on how to be right. We focus on individual and collective attention on deficits—cognitive, emotional, financial and industry-related says author Dawna Markova. Rarely have we been taught how to collaborate effectively with people across cultures, time zones and temperaments. Thus hinge time.
Hat tips Judith Glaser-Conversational Intelligence & Dawna Markova and Angie McArthur-Collaborative Intelligence.

Talk delivered at Manning Library CSU Fresno to their Faculty Learning Community wherein I attempt to define digital pedagogy, where it fits into the umbrella of "dh", how to get started.
Original talk description: There has been much talk among higher education publications, faculty and administrators about “digital pedagogy,” but what is it beyond the use of proprietary EdTech tools?
Dr. Cong-Huyen will speak about digital pedagogy as critical pedagogy and share methods for practicing transformative digital pedagogy at Hispanic-serving institutions and minority-serving institutions.
Let's face it, no one has enough time to manage their major gifts program by the book. Regardless ofwhether your major donor portfolio is 5 people, or 500, you need a practical way to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward the people investing in yourcause. Stealing from the tech field, this session discusses using Scrum, aproject management model, to better track and implement the activities of your major gifts program. Using real world examples for a currently running campaign, you'll learn about the different types of process management, what Scrum is, and how to put this model to work.
