The author spent an unplanned day alone in a tree house on Nijhum Island after exams. He found shelter in an empty tree house near a river and forest. From the tree house, he enjoyed watching farmers work and boats sail by. At night, he dreamed of a crying deer near the tree house and was scared by an unknown sound. In the morning, realizing no one knew where he was, he decided to return home, reminded of the quote "God made the country and man made the village."
