What We Have Learned: The Holocaust Knowledge of the Holocaust used as a lens to better understand history and authentic methods of learning about it Anti-Semitism principle focus of events Groups targeted included those with exceptionalities, Roma (Gypsies), Jews, Homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses Death concentrated in Ghettos, Work Camps, Death Camps, but abuse well beyond it Timeline of Events
Pedagogy – Using Outside Sources Exhibits Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center  - Future trip with 8 th  and 9 th  graders USHMM Holocaust Exhibit -  Fighting the Fires of Hate: America and the Nazi Book Burnings Developed curriculum to use with middle and high school field trips Facilitated field trips during Spring Break Facilitated field trips during 2010 Multicultural Conference Guest Speakers Peter Black, Senior Historian from United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Alexandra Zapruder, author of  Salvaged Pages: Young Writers Diaries of the Holocaust
