The Javan rhinoceros lives in dense rainforests in Indonesia and Vietnam, eating berries, seeds, leaves and fruits. It is one of the most endangered species due to low fertility, habitat loss, and extensive hunting for its horn and other body parts for use in traditional medicine. Adults stand 1.5-1.7 meters tall and 2-4 meters long, weighing 900-1400 kilograms, and have a gestation period of 16 months.
