bright, colorful, moving images and messages that

Outdoors, stadiums, and public squares treat view-
ers to huge ‘big screen’ displays with video that

development of affordable LED technology has

Dynamic Soſtware = Dynamic Display
The VisionsPlay soſtware makes it easy to create
and manage messages for your Hyperion® and
4U2SEE displays. Design and edit messages, set
play mode, color and speed, manage messages, set
up your display schedule, preview messages before
sending them to the sign with the simulator, create
your own library of stored messages and schedules
for future use. You can also import sound files,
download new fonts, modify existing fonts, insert
automatic time and temperature, manage your
message files and displays all with a few clicks.
Message Controller is a simple, low-cost soſtware
that lets you quickly generate and send messages
to FactoryVision ADP displays or 4U2SEE Displays.
It also works as an interface with common
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), giving you
real-time control and message updates. Handles
more than 8000 pre-programmed messages.
All Electro-Matic LED display solutions can be
programmed remotely through a variety of common
network connections including RF, wireless Ether-
net (wifi), Ethernet, DSL/cable, fiber optics, and

Three basic factors determine the ideal choice of
LED display:
1 Viewing distance
2 Interior or exterior
3 Color
The distance between your sign and its viewers
determines both the minimum text size and the
ideal resolution, or pitch, of the display. An easy
way to think of this is that the farther away your
sign will be viewed the larger both numbers will
need to be. The actual size and proportion of your
display are further determined by the number of
lines of text you would like to have available for
your messages.
LED display signs are designed differently for
indoor and outdoor use. Outdoor signs must be
able to withstand the elements and operate
reliably in extreme weather conditions. Indoor
signs do not need to meet such rigorous standards.
LEDs used in outdoor displays are also brighter
than indoor LEDs so they can be easily seen in
bright daylight. Electro-Matic outdoor displays
have built-in dimmers to reduce undesirable
brightness in lower ambient light conditions, such
as evening or night.
Full color LED displays are designed differently
than single color or tri-color displays, and are more
expensive. You should strongly consider full color if
your sign communications rely on faithful rendering
of photographic images and video. Images and
video can be used on single color displays but will
appear as ‘grayscale’ shades of red or amber. Full
color is also a good idea for displaying brand graph-
ics, such as logos or ‘company’ colors. If message
communications are mostly text, single color or
tri-color displays are a more economical choice.

other ways. But to gain a return on your LED
display investment, you have to be able to afford
the right products and services in the first place. If
you don’t have the budget in place, consider
leasing with Electro-Matic Leasing Options. You
can begin taking advantage of the business-
building capabilities of dynamic LED display
signage immediately, while using increased
revenues to pay for the program — and more!
With lease-to-own options, you pay monthly for
the ‘use’ of the equipment asset (your sign) while
deferring the reduced cost of ‘ownership’ until the
end of the lease term. Like most forms of financing,
the main advantage is that you avoid tying up cash
in assets. This cash could be directed toward
replacing aging sign structures, for example, or put
to work elsewhere in your company or organization.
Leasing offers other advantages over conven-
tional financing:

having to account for depreciation and interest
costs involved with ownership.
Larger companies sometimes prefer a short term
lease of 2 or 3 years because it permits them to

followed the required 5 or 7 year depreciation
schedule.
