INTRODUCTION:
Social movements with environmental concerns have spread and awareness has increased
among consumers in all parts of the world. The globalization of environmental concern has been
reflected in consumers’ awareness of environmental problems and the importance of green
marketing. The results of a number of public opinion polls have shown an increase in
environmental awareness but doubts persist about the transformation of this awareness into
Sound behavior. It should be noted that although the term socially responsible consumption has
appeared in the United States and European countries, it is still limited in Asia. Environmental
problems have drawn people’s attention to monitoring environmental impacts and developing
technologies, in order to prevent or mitigate these problems. The importance of developing a
framework to enhance the application of environmental designs has emerged. Moreover,
environmentally conscious manufacturing, which is a green product design tool that focuses on
ensuring improved environmental performance through the selection and design of
environmentally friendly products, including the green Internet (environmentally friendly
Internet).

Many of us do not know how the Internet can contribute to protecting the environment from
harm, or how its use can be environmentally friendly, but the truth is that there are ways and
methods through which we can use the Internet and at the same time does not cause harm to
the environment around us. It is a simple example of protecting the environment through the
Internet.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SEARCH ENGINE:
To encourage these efforts, a young German man named Christian Kroll invented an
environmentally friendly search engine and called for contributions to preserving the
environment. He used the Ecosia.org search engine, which is the new environmentally friendly
search engine. His invention came because of traditional search engines relying on fossil fuels as
a source of energy instead of bioenergy, which causes many carbon dioxide emissions. Instead of
driving the car to stores and markets, which means saving fuel and reducing environmentally
harmful gases emitted from the car engine.

REDUCING ENERGY USE:
Many people do not realize the huge amount of energy they consume while using the Internet.
We find that Internet service providers operate huge computer centers, and thus consume huge
amounts of energy, and half of that consumed energy is used to cool these centers to reduce the
enormous amounts of heat emanating from them. However, this does not mean that the Internet
as a technological tool is not a bad tool, as it remains a great means of research and knowledge,
but the browser at home can become part of the problem if it starts to use the Internet aimlessly
and enters all sites randomly

reduce the environmental impact of printing. Draft mode produces lighter prints but is
still suitable for most everyday needs.
5. Go digital when possible: Rethink the need for physical copies and embrace digital
alternatives. Sharing documents electronically by using free apps like HP Smart can
reduce paper waste and contribute to a more sustainable work environment. 2
GREEN UNIVERSITY PROJECT
The project aims to implement the concept of carbon neutrality, by following energy
conservation strategies, promoting sustainable construction, using green spaces, following an
environmental transportation system, and landscape architecture. This is in addition to other
strategies for reducing and recycling waste. It also aims to enable students to make a change in
their universities to reach what are called sustainable universities or green universities, and to
rationalize energy consumption within the university’s work systems. Beside that the use of
smart glass represents the best performance for buildings in hot and dry areas, as it deals with
various climatic factors and provides continuity of communication outside, while being fully
compatible with the depressing environment.
