A 27-year-old kinesiologist graduated in December 2012 but has been unable to find a job in Santiago, Chile. She is frustrated because all positions require experience that she is unable to gain without being given an initial opportunity. While wanting independence from her parents, she does not want to move to a different city alone where she knows no one. She fears disappointing her family by not finding work near them and is worried about being alone in an unfamiliar place without a support system.

2. • I choose the interview to a Kinesióloga. She
graduate in december 2012 and she can´t find
a job. She studied another carreer earlier, but
she didn’t finished it.

live with my parents.

person. I’m looking for a job
since december in Santiago, but
in all the hospitals, and centers
needs someone with
experience, and if they don´t
give me the chance I can’t
prove that I’m qualified.

4. She knows to find a job in kinesiología in
Santiago is hard, there´s a lot of
competition, but she is frustrated and think
she will not find one soon She want
independence but she is not looking for a job
in a city different of the residence of her
parents, so she want some space, but not get
away from they.

5. She is afraid of not complete the
expectations of her family. She is
afraid to not find a job close of her
family, because she don´t want to be
alone in a diferent city and don´t
know anyone. She is frustrated of
being looking for a job for a long time
and can´t find one and for her age not
have a job jet.

6. She need to take away the frustation and not only look
for a job, create one, create the space to have patients
close of her home, and later move for a place in the
city, maybe not alone, with another kinesiólogo or
friend to adapt not being with her parents.
