It’s easy to get a job in the
IT area
THINK
The college role is to teach
what you need to work on
your career...
And they’re not good
enough in this task!
The companies don’t hire
interns to learn, but to
produce as a professional -
paying less (and with less
‘labor rights’).
The government should
have a role in the transition
from college to market.
Stimulate it.
SAY
Unfortunately, college today
doesn't make you 100% ready to
enter the market. If you really
want to be well prepared you
have to take courses, trainings,
certifications. Anyway, enrich the
curriculum to have a differential
against the competition.
The problem is that here
(Florianópolis), as it has much
offer, the interns are highly
demanded and companies want
to pay little. Hence, the interns'
change is high
It could be something in the
form of agreements with
colleges. The government could
support more, perhaps lowering
taxes for companies that hire
graduates. Stuff like that. That
bring benefits to the company
and encourage them to seek
professionals without experience.
Each one has to learn to walk by
his own legs, without depending
on help from an institution
(college) that does not have this
task (inclusion in the market).
Perhaps the government should
have a program for this...
