In LinkedIn’s “Why & How People Change Jobs” (2015), the authors point out that almost one in five employees voluntarily

per $10,000 of compensation, with a total cost of losing this talent being as high as twice their annual salary when factoring in
time to fill and train their replacement, loss of company knowledge, and estimate for risk.
