1. LAW FIRM PLEAS FOR HELP
Emmersons Solicitors, which has recently opened a new office on Gosforth High
Street has turned to us for help.
Michael Robinson, a partner at Emmersons, explains,
“We are having a launch party at the Opus Gallery in Gosforth on the 6th October.
At the same time we are trying to raise funds on behalf of The Soldiers, Sailors,
Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA Forces Help). This is a national charity
helping those who serve in our Armed Forces along with those who used to serve
and their families.
We have invited lots of businesses and organisations in Gosforth to the launch and
have asked them to raise funds for SSAFA Forces Help. We have collection boxes
which we are handing out to local businesses. However, we have found that many
cannot take them because of company policy.
We therefore appeal to any of your readers who are willing to help us by agreeing
to take a collection box on behalf of SSAFA. As a firm we have always tried to help
service personnel. We feel that it is important to say thank you to those who have
given so much We hope that the spirit of Wooton Bassett exists in Gosforth too.
SSAFA trains volunteers who can then offer help with everything from housing
Michael Robinson needs to emotional support for the lonely, ill or bereaved.”
