An Innovative Project on Emergency Medical Services in Covid Era. This can be used as college projects when the task is to theorize an idea for healthcare.
2. Motivation
▪ Imagine this situation you and your friends have gone for a good walk
in a remote area and suddenly one of them falls sick(say he is mid aged
and got a stroke) and no one is there to help. That person is so sick that
you have no other choice but to call an ambulance.
▪ Now, the challenges an ambulance would face before reaching the
person is the traffic jam and narrow streets and by the time the
ambulance reaches he/she dies or sometimes the condition becomes
even more complicated.
▪ This is the motivation which has encouraged our team to come up with
an idea of an app called ‘Ambucycle’ because the first 3 minutes of any
patient/person is the most important.
4. abstract
▪ Every year thousands of people die because the ambulance was not on time.
▪ We aim to make fastest and cheapest mode of medical emergency service.
▪ We all know that a bike or a scooter is slightly better than car in travelling. Like, it can
pass through few narrow streets and can somewhat get a good hand in escaping traffic.
▪ Hence our emergency vehicle is AMBU-CYCLE.
▪ This bike would have all the basic medical needs like a stethoscope, syringes, BP kit,
medicines like aspirin, bandages etc.
5. abstract
▪ And instead of employees; volunteers would work with us.
▪ Every volunteer will be trained for 6-7 months about the basic knowledge of first aid
and medicine and the app will function like UBER but it will be for free.
▪ Whenever anyone would use the app it would contact the nearest volunteer who would
go and help the patient till the ambulance arrives.
▪ The additional feature of the app would also allow the viewers to identify what they are
likely to be suffering from by putting in their symptoms.
▪ The app would suggest prevention and cure measures.
6. Block diagram OR STEPS OF EXECUTION
Start the app.
As soon as the
app opens
choose either
low risk or high
risk.
If a person chooses
low risk then that
person can call and
give the details like
address, diseases etc.
If a person
chooses high risk
then your phones
GPS starts and
reaches the
volunteer nearest
to the location.
After the volunteer
leaves to help the
patient the app
automatically
sends an
ambulance for
help.
The additional feature
would allow them to
know what exactly is
happening to them.
Is it Bad?
Suggest to visit a doctor or
request an ambucycle.
7. CHALLENGES INVOLVED
▪ Few places or cities or towns face network issues and it might be difficult
for them to give their location to the app.
▪ Every startup faces problems in getting sponsors until it gets a name and
fame.
▪ It would be difficult to get funding as there is no profits because every
sponsor wants something in return.
▪ In order to be the fastest ambulance we need volunteers who are vigilant
and ever ready which is difficult to find.
▪ For the people who don’t have a smart phone it would be difficult to reach
them.
8. Solutions to few challenges faced
▪ For the issues with finding volunteers we can partner with organizations like the
Robin Hood Army, Youth for Seva, Bhumi etc.
▪ In India, half the amount that sponsors have spent on funding can be part of their
taxes which can attract sponsors.
▪ We could tie up with the government so that the patients are taken to the nearest
government hospital in return for funding.
▪ In order for the app to gain popularity, proper management is super important like
on how much percentage of funding should be spent on necessities and how much
percentage to be spent on promotional events .
▪ For those people who don’t have a phone they can dial to emergency number like
911 and then there would be caller tune for asking details.
