Call an ambulance for a child if they are not breathing, breathing with difficulty, unconscious, have a change in mental status, major injuries, suspected spinal or neck injury, severe burns, uncontrolled bleeding, or poisoning. When calling for help, speak clearly and calmly and provide your name, address, phone number, location of the child, number of children, and the problem. Do not leave an injured child alone once help is called, do not move them unless in danger, do not remove embedded objects, keep them warm and comfortable, administer CPR if not breathing, apply direct pressure to bleeding, cover burns with a clean cloth but do not use ice or ointments, and clear the area for seizures but do not put
