2. Azerbaijan societal index in the value
added chain for Embawood
• Some of the societal index of Azerbaijan that are in the
direct value chain of social impact, for Embawood
include the following:
1. Vocational Education
2. Rural unemployment
3. Disability issues
4. Refugees and IDPs issues
5. Environment
6. Rural water issues
• Proposal: The first 3 indexes should be the focus for Embawood. It
would be appropriate to combine them in a single approach.
3. Why EMBAWOOD needs to focus more
on its CSV
• Connection: By this I mean to connect EMBAWOOD
marketing to its social activities so as to increases the
corporation connection to the customers and ordinary
people
• Profitability: Giving back to the society, I can turn it
into profitability. As more people beginning to
associate Embawood to solving societal problem, they
would definitely want to buy the products. Moreover,
family member equiped with skills on sustenance
obvious would serve as the grassroots mouthpiece
,
4. The Business Plan based on Shared
Value for EMBAWOOD
• The 3 societal index chosen are: Vocational skills
development; rural employment (through supporting
SMEs; and disability
• Argument:
– Azerbaijan has a significant number of persons with disability, yet only
about 10% get adequate support.
– High gap between urban - rural poverty measurement (about 14%).
• Implement 2 years project cycle on all of these 3
problems linked. Also measured based on CSV.
6. Corporate Social Responsibility and
Corporate Shared Value
• CSR –Corporate Social Responsibility in the most
simplest term is the corporate belief that a company
needs to be responsible for its actions – socially,
ethically, and environmentally.

• CSV –Corporate Shared Value entails that businesses
identifying societal needs thereafter, harnessing
corporation capacity through a greater understanding
for the purpose of developing collaboration across
profit and non-profit boundaries.

7. Benefits of implementing Shared Value
in Embawood
• CSV would entail that Embawood not only implements
but also tracks all its social commitment. The benefit
for taking this new approach is purely to increase in
profitability as a consequence of increased
productivity. This would be achieved through the
processes of:
1. Modifying product and market based on needs
2. Maximizing productivity in the value chain
3. Enable cluster development
