occasion. We specialize in Puerto Rican Delicacy. We offer full
service catering with a price you can live with. We offer a variety
of Menus to choose from. All which entail an appetizer, main
dish and dessert. Full service bartending is also available.

Although our specialty is Puerto Rican Cuisine, we offer a wide
variety of food. Anything from subs to Mofongo’s. Check out our

The Legends of Loiza
The only Boriken female Taino Queen (Taino
Cacique-Chief) Yuiza.
When the Spanish Conquistadors
invaded Puerto Rico and enslaved the Taino
Indians the Indians resisted. They never adapted
to slavery, most of the Taino men were killed.
Many of the women lived on as wives of the
Spanish sailors.
Legend has it (that to protect her people)
Yuiza became the lover of Mulatto conquistador
Pedro Mejias and because of this she was killed
by other Taino Cacique (who felt she was a
traitor to have been with a Spainard.) She was a
hero and admired by her own Tribal people,
even today.

Exclusive Service Levels
El Taino Catering is proud to offer three (3) different Service Levels to
best entertain your needs.
Hot Meal Drop Off
This economized rate service is offered to entertain offices that are steadily on the go.
All foods are always delivered in aluminum pans with wire rack and chafers. There is
no return clean up service available with package 1. All buffet table covers are paper.
Menu prices apply. Service charge is 8%.
Silver Service
This service offers you our most elegant display on Silver Trays, Glass Bowls and our
elegant disposable wares. You may also choose to have a Service Attendant stay
throughout your event to assist in serving your guest, permitting you to attend to
other business without the worry of handling your own buffet.
Service charges are adjusted by 5% based on service needs. Service personnel are
billed at a rate of $15 an hour.
Gold Service
This service gives you all the benefits of an Authentic Puerto Rican Event.

Ordering
Taínos were ancestor worshipers. They believed that the
spirits of the dead remained in their bones so they kept
skeletons of relatives in baskets in their dwellings. Oftentimes
maybe just the heads of important members of the family were
kept. They would keep them in the storage area of the bohío that
hung from the ceiling. They believed in an afterlife, so great care
was given to the deceased; they were buried with offerings and
food.

Deliveries
Our delivery hours are between the hours of 10 am until 4 pm.
Orders that are to be delivered outside the service times may be
charged an additional $18 per hour.
Payments
We accept cash, money orders, and checks (only upon approval).
There will be a $45 return check fee applied to your balance for any returned checks.
Deposits
A minimum deposit may be required depending on the amount
of your service. 50% due upon agreement the other 50% due
upon service.
Ordering &
The colibri (hummingbird) is a sacred symbol for the Taino
Indians. It is sacred because the hummingbird is a pollinator and
therefore disseminator of new life. It symbolizes rebirth of the
Taino Indigenous Nation in the Caribbean.

Placing an order is easy. You can place an order online or over the
phone.

Arroz con Grandules
Orders
We request that all orders be placed with enough advance notice
to properly serve you. Usually by no later than 3:00 p.m. 2 days before. In the case of a rush
order you must call for availability.
Cancellations
All cancellations MUST be made not later than 3pm the day before your scheduled event.
There is a $25 cancellation fee applied to ALL cancelled orders.
 In the case that you do not cancel the order before 3pm the day before the cancellation
fee would then be $50.
 In the case that you do not cancel for any reason until the day of your service event.
The full service charge agreed upon will apply.
