2. Vet aquí que una vegada hi havia un poblet ple de gent contenta. El seu rei procurava que tothom visqués ben feliç i cada dia sortia a la finestra a veure si tot anava bé.
3. Un dia va passar una cosa estranya. El rei havia sortit a la finestra i mirant el cel, va veure que s’apropaven un munt d’animals estranys.
4. Quan es van anar acostant, el rei va tenir molta por: EREN DRACS VOLADORS!!!
5. Aquells dracs voladors eren molt petits i volaven ràpidament. Tenien unes dentetes molt petites, com les de les ratetes. S’amagaven bé i es menjaven tota la roba que trobaven.
6. Quina desgràcia. Aviat els dracs van rossegar la roba de la gent: pantalons, samarretes, butxaques, abrics, tovalloles...
7. Fins i tot els llençols! Quan era l’hora d’anar a dormir, la gent es tapava amb una roba ben estripada!
8. I un dia el rei es va trobar les seves cortines foradades. Oh no! Les cortines eren un regal del seu amic, el rei de Portugal!
9. Llavors va baixar al poble i va preguntar a la gent com estaven. Va trobar tothom tan enfadat que va decidir buscar una solució. Anirien a caçar els dracs!
10. Va cridar al capità i li va ordenar que repartís caçapapallones a tots els soldats: Anirien a caçar dracs!
11. Tot els soldats van anar cap al poble a buscar dracs. Sortien de tot arreu: calaixos, neveres, capses de galetes, motxilles... No s’acabaven mai!
13. Però no ho aconseguien. Si n’atrapaven algun, amb les seves dentetes rossegaven la xarxa i s’escapaven.
14. Llavors el rei va tenir una idea! Si els dracs tenien aquelles dentetes com les ratetes, potser els agradaria el formatge com a elles!
15. I va manar que tothom portés formatge a la plaça. Havia de fer molta olor!
16. Si senyor! Quan els dracs van sentir aquella olor tan bona, van anar cap a la plaça i els va venir de gust tastar allò que feia aquell perfum. En un tres i no res se l’havien menjat tot!
17. I així va ser com a partir d’aquell dia a totes les cases hi havia un plat de formatge a l’ampit de la finestra. Els dracs voladors van deixar de menjar roba i es van quedar al poble, com si fossin gats o gossos.
