AL WORKSTO DESIGN THE ELECTRICESSENTIAL FACTORS
1. All rooms identification in English & Arabic
2. All design as per MEW latest regulation.
3. Design Electrical load at least 20% more for future.
4. Legend & mounting height is according to MEW standard.
5. Furniture layout drawing is require to ensure numbers and location of power outlet.
6. False ceiling drawing is required to confirm the light fitting type & fixing method.
7. Minimum 25cm clearance in between A/C duct & false ceiling to install light fitting.
8. Each floor need separate electrical rooms with suitable dimension for panels
9. Sub-station layout design drawing should have approval from MEW.
10. Transformers room will be in between HT & LT rooms to easy cables entry.
11. Design calculation of capacitor banks and space required 2x2m for each one in LT room.
12. Separate suitable riser or shaft for electrical cables from LT panel to all feeders.
13. Parallel cables are required instead of higher size cables.
14. Maximum load of MSB should not exceed 200kw & DB 25kw.
15. MSBs and DBs have 25% breakers spare for future.
16. Cable trays have 20% free space for future cables.
17. A/C and Mechanical equipments load schedules sheet.
18. Voltage drop calculation from LT panel upto DBs and S/Fs for each cables
19. Light fitting type and control should be suitable as per rooms & users application
20. Lux calculation should be as per MEW illumination level.
21. Busbar rating should be 25% more than main incoming breaker.
22. Earth layout drawing showing location of Earth Pit.
23. All panels should be inside electrical room.
24. Generator should be prime rating with 20% future load.
25. Space between Generators base and walls should be one meter for cables trench and motors installation.
26. Under- ground fuel tank and daily fuel tank capacity approved by KNPC & KFB.
27. Telephone design drawing should be approved from ministry of communication.
28. Fire Alarm design drawing should be approved from KFB.
29. All pumps motors, Lifts, and Smoke Fans power supply from Generators.
30. All Pumps motors, Lifts, Fresh Air Fans and Smoke Fans should be protected by AVA+ ELRs.
