E-learning initiatives can take different forms, including online courses, virtual classrooms, educational apps, and web-based resources Many organizations, educational institutions, and governments have embraced e-learning initiatives to expand access to education and provide lifelong learning opportunities. These initiatives have become particularly crucial during times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic when traditional face-to-face teaching was disrupted. 2. SIKKIM
1. Sikkim Edutech App
• This mobile application connects all the schools of Sikkim
with Education department
• Provides a platform for teachers to plan their classes online like they can provide
their audio lectures and PowerPoint presentations.
• Push assignments online by teachers and students submit their scanned
copy/photo of the assignments online. The teachers will correct it and give the
feedback.

3. • AIR Gangtok and FM Kanchenjunga 103 MHz in collaboration with Dept of
Education, Govt of Sikkim started a Live Phone in Educational Broadcast
Programme entitled “STAY HOME, STUDY AT HOME”.
• The programme began from 16.04.2020 and will be aired between 01.00 p.m to
2.00 p.m daily.
• Duration: 40 mins after which the phone lines will be open for the students to put
forth their doubts and questions.

• In Telangana it is launched during June, 2020
wherein teachers are invited to contribute content
for class 6th General Science in Telugu and
English media

12. Telangana Repository of Open Educational Resources
(TROER):
• Used for resource creation of the teachers, by the teachers
and for the teachers.
• The core principles are participation, availability of open
educational resources and supporting teachers’ professional
development through participation in making curricular
resources.
Computer Aided Learning in Elementary School (CAL)
• A 5-day training to 7,580 teachers conducted to implement
Computer Aided Learning in these schools.
• These Schools are Supplied with interactive multimedia
CDs, Audio DVDs consisting of poems, songs, English
rhymes

13. DIKSHA
• To create and exchange e-resources to bring about qualitative
changes in the teaching learning process.
• SCERT, Telangana being the Nodal Agency of DIKSHA,
Telangana
• Under DIKSHA project till now 16 textbooks of all non-language textbooks of
classes 8th and 9th in Telugu and English media have been energized with QR
codes and implemented in the State and 37 more textbooks of Classes 6th to 10th
will be energized from the academic year 2020-22.

15. Connected Learning Initiatives (CLIx)
• School Education Department (GOT) in collaboration with Tata
Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) initiated CLIx project to work
with 300 rural government schools in erstwhile 13 districts.
• Mathematics, Science, Communicative English and digital
literacy, integrated with value education and skills relevant to the
21st century languages.

16. Telangana Tribal e-learning
• In 2018, the Tribal Welfare Department established an advanced learning facility in
50 Tribal Ashrama Schools to help students enhance subject learning.
• The goal is to empower every student to be a connected, creative, and engaged
learner. Students get to learn different subjects from some of the talented teachers
of the State from a broadcasting studio (e-School Studio) established at Hyderabad.

17. • T-SAT (Telangana State Council of Higher Education): T-SAT is a government-run
educational channel that broadcasts educational content to students at various
levels, from school to college.
• Digital Telangana: This initiative aims to equip citizens with basic computer
skills and digital knowledge to take advantage of online learning opportunities.
• TSBIE Online Resources: Offers online study materials, previous year question
papers, and e-books for students preparing for intermediate board exams.
• Mana TV: Educational channel that provides e-learning content for students of
various age groups. The channel covers a wide range of subjects and is accessible
to students across the state.

various subjects.
• Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK): Focuses on imparting
skills and training to students and graduates to enhance their employability in the
job market. It collaborates with various industries to offer online courses and skill
development programs.
