14. What are the features of a
book report?
Does it contain facts or opinions?
The book Me and Uncle Romie is a great
story written by Davey Watson! It is about a boy
who visits his aunt and uncle in New York City for
the summer. At first, James is worried he won't have
a good time, but his feelings change.
James does lots of fun things with Aunt
Nanette, but he doesn't see much of Uncle Romie.
When his aunt has to go out of town, James spends
time alone with his uncle. They have a great time
together, and James learns all about Romie's
amazing art.
I really liked how the author created
interesting, realistic characters and a great story!

20. The book Because of Winn-Dixie a great story written by Kate
DiCamillo! It is about a girl who moves to a new city and finds herself a new
pet and an unexpected friend.
It all starts when Opal finds a dog, whom she names Winn-Dixie, and
starts visiting The Herman W. Block Memorial Library. When she thought she
would remain as an outcast, she meets the librarian Miss Franny. However,
dogs may not be permitted into the library so Winn-Dixie must wait outside.
What eased the situation is that he could still see Opal from the window. All of
a sudden, and when Miss Franny sees Winn-Dixie through that library
window, she falls on the floor as she thinks Winn-Dixie is a bear. Opal helps
out Miss Franny and says “Come on. Let me help you up”. After allowing
Winn-Dixie to enter the library, she discusses her past experience with the
bear encounter. They eventually discover that they have a lot of things in
common and become good friends.
