Eileen Teasdale – my former manager.
There are a variety of styles that people use to accomplish objectives when leading
teams of people – whether the teams are large or small.
I always found that Eileen approached us all in a way which was empowering,
delegating, friendly, confidence building and firm but fair.
Our little team of CFRS volunteers was a keen and varied collection of personal
skills and availabilities. Eileen was able to grasp the best efforts from each of us and
mold them together to produce a team solution and project success for each of the
many diverse tasks we were expected to perform.
Due to our success as a team, we were happy, motivated, inspired with a sense of
dignity and accomplishment.
Eileen always lead by example but always left the door open for innovation and
individual styles for improvement. She was compassionate and a good listener.
She is ambitious and I’m sure will always give 110% to all future projects. Her ‘fun’
and ‘hard working’ mix of styles is missed.
