• Absence of transparency between the people and
the government.
• Effecting the development of the nation.
• The people cannot account the govt. for their
decisions/actions.
• Effecting the economic, social and cultural rights as
well as civil rights.
• Rise of ignorance and violence in the world.

3. Case Study: Egyptian revolution of 2011
The Main reason of the revolution are the following:
• Police brutality
• State of emergency laws
• Electoral fraud
• Political censorship
• Widespread corruption
• High unemployment
• Food price inflation
• Low minimum wages
• Demographic structural factors
• Inspiration from concurrent regional protests
4. Demand’s of the people
Demands on the people :
Major demand of the people was the End of the Hosni
Mubarak regime, the end of emergency
law, freedom, justice, a responsive non-military
government and a say in the management of Egypt's
resources.
5. Root cause of Corruption
• Corruption is not a recent cause .
• It is existing from centuries back during the colonial
rule.
• It was when there existed the feudal structure of
society.
• It is from there that the problem of corruption
increased and went on and on….
• Example is during that of the French revolution.
6. Major Cause: Absence of true
Democracy
Also the absence of a true democracy in the world
leads an increase of corruption as it reduces
accountability and transparency and integrity.
One such exams if of China. It shows to be a
democratic country but actually is not.
Another example is of Zimbabwe which been under
the control of the ZANU-PF party since it’s
independence form the white minority.
