Edstudios are accessed through the Learning Place. Students are working in a safe and password protected
space with Education Queensland. CONNECTEDNESS –
Students invite other classes, teachers, parents
and industry experts to view and comment on
work they have completed within an EdStudio
COLLABORATION :
Students use the collective information within
the EdStudio to inform their response to a
problem or design challenge.
Students use a group blog function to share
and build upon each other’s ideas and
understandings.
INQUIRY
Students create a series of questions using the
poll function of an EdStudio to investigate a
topic. They analyse the data collected in order
to draw conclusions.
The class Edstudio includes a Q & A page.
Students post questions throughout the unit.
Students answer each other’s questions as they
find/ research answers.
FEEDBACK and Continual Growth
Students and teachers collaboratively create a
rubric for assessing a design. Students and
teachers write comments related to this rubric.
REFLECTION :
Teachers are able to enrol a class of students through
One School. The EdStudio then appears on the students
“ My spaces” page when logging in to The Learning
Place.
Students are easily able to access the EdStudio space.
The EdStudio owner is able set privacy permissions for
each particular EdStudio.
Allows owners to open the Edstudio to other teachers
and classes within Education Queensland.
EdStudio owners are able to set authoring & viewing
permissions for each page within the Studio.
Individuals and groups of students are able to add and
modify content of specific pages.
HTML allows embedding of code. Images, video, and other online tools i.e. Padlet &
Thinglink , can be embedded and viewed from the blog.
Ensures specific artefact is viewed without interference
from extraneous content.
Studio History allows the owner monitor the
participation. Owners can filter history by individual user
or page.
Teacher is able to recognise those students requiring
support and intervene.
Navigation allows the author to create a page structure
that is easily accessible to users.
Home pages, group pages and individual pages can be
easily accessed.
Free form layout. Drag and drop to move any item that
has been added.
Authors have control over the layout and presentation
of their page. Items can be moved to make them more
accessible/ easily understood for all users.
Interactive components : Blogs Blogs can be structured to function as a group or
individual blog and can be used for collaboration or
individual work.
Interactive components : poll Allows trusted users to create questions and collect data
from other users.
Images can be used as a background. The layering
function allows users to add text over the top.
Graphic organisers can be uploaded as a background to
scaffold student contributions/ thinking.

able to change the appearance of individual pages
within the Studio.
