● BookCreator app on iPad
○ You can use pictures, voice, colours, fonts...
● Topic: “An adventure/happening at school”
or use your own title
● Min. length 10 sentences
● Past tense (imperfekti)
● Work alone or with a partner
○ With a partner: take turns
○ Help a friend!
● First you plan, then you write
○ Why?
2. Planning the story
● You will need
○ A notebook or paper and a pen
● Make a mindmap or write a list:
○ What? Who? Where? When?
● How does to story begin? What happens next? How does the story end?
● Title? For example:
○ Alien attack at our school
○ A day in the life of my backbag
○ The teacher who turned into a vampire/zombie/dragon/frog…
○ The principal vs. a burglar/squirrell/pigeon
○ The mystery of the lost shoe/teacher/classroom…
● Show your plan to the teacher before you start writing
3. Writing the story
● Take an iPad (1 iPad/student or pair) and write your name on the list
● Open BookCreator and click ‘New Book’. Make the cover page first.
● Helpful pages in your books:
○ Reader p. 100-101
○ Activity book p. 152-153 and p. 156
○ Aakkosellinen sanasto
● You can also use a dictionary
4. REMEMBER!
● What? Who? Where? When?
● How does to story begin? What happens next? How does the story end?
● For example:
○ Alien attack at our school

● Min. length 10 sentences, past tense (imperfekti)
○ NOTE! Use at least 4 different regular verbs (jumped, laughed etc.) and at least 6
different irregular verbs (went, came etc.) in the past tense
