Reviews
"Congratulation to Lynne Dozier on her wonderful book — it's an honor to find one of my poems inside. I find it
hopeful that her lessons can now inspire more writers, not just those who were lucky enough to study in her class.

“I just finished reviewing your book, THE WRITER’S VOICE. Maybe if I had had a teacher like you, I would have
enjoyed my English classes more. Becky Liewer, ESL Adult Education Instructor
WHAT A DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE, Lynne! I love your book (I scrolled through it rapidly and intend to go back
and read it more carefully) but I appreciate the acknowledgement and the references throughout. It's a good solid
work. Thank you for making my day! And thank you for touching my life once again.

This review is from Amazon.com: The Writer's Voice: 18 Lessons to Improve Writing (Paperback)
I write this review as both a reader of this book and a colleague of the author. Lynne is, putting it plainly, one of the
finest teachers of writing ever. Her ability to teach writing, in all of its forms, to a variety of student types is uncan-
ny and she has poured many of her techniques and her vast knowledge into this book. If you are a teacher of writing
or just someone looking to improve their own writing, you cannot find a better resource.
An amazing compilation of literary goodies…October 31, 2012 iBookstore: Textbooks/Humanities C39Hunter
Upon reading this book, one fact was definitely clear. The material covered is extensive. This textbook seemed to
attach every crucial facet from learning the proper usage to the application of the English language. Additionally,
it’s nice to see a book that includes writing by students of the author to help connect teacher and pupil to the con-
tent. This textbook covers material not ordinarily included in curriculum today. ‘This book is a MUST for high
school as well as college students. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
An immersive product…January 21, 2013 iBookstore by deltareader
I consider this book to be a nice collection of lessons and activities that could be easily implemented into the class-
room. It is not a strict text, but rather more a guide that encourages students to experiment with different types of
writing. In other words, it leave a lot of room for an instructor to play around and implement into a curriculum.
The topics are diverse, including the mechanics of writing, poetry, political discourse, and even slang in the Infor-
mation Era. I think the layout is engaging and fun. Moreover, many of the essays are relevant to this generation of
students, and the section on writing for standardized tests comes from the author’s experiences with Texas educa-
tion system.
