Outdoor power equipment industry leader
AriensCo had expanded from one facility in
the U.S. to six facilities in the U.S., U.K., and
Scandinavia. However, business continuity
planning had not followed along with or become
cohesive with the expansion.
In the U.S., there were multiple plans for different
departments, with information scattered in a hundred
different places, and the U.K. had its own individually
developed plan. When the Scandinavian location was
completed in 2020, AriensCo turned to Attainium and
Plan-A-ware to help.
DP Solutions used Plan-A-ware to completely formalize
its business continuity plan. Plan-A-ware enabled
AriensCo to align their KBFs with IT needs and identify
gaps. One of the most significant benefits was
establishing emergency notification procedures. Now,
each facility has training and testing of emergency
procedures each month.

The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE)
is a membership organization of more than 48,000
association executives and industry partners representing
7,400 organizations. ASAE has been working with
Attainium for more than a decade to manage and
maintain its business continuity plan. This was never more
valuable than when employees were suddenly working
from home.
The process began by helping ASAE’s administration
understand what they really needed to put into their plan.
ASAE previously had an inventory of what mattered, but
Attainium helped them take out excess info that was not
relevant to emergency situations. Attainium’s project team
then provided the momentum and direction to get initial
information and planning steps loaded into Plan-A-ware
and drive subsequent processes that needed to be
done internally.
With Plan-A-ware, information can now be updated easily,
and timely email reminders were sent to those responsible
for updates. This streamlines ASAE’s plan maintenance
and ensures they are ready to respond to any crisis.

Award-winning managed services provider DP Solutions is
the Mid-Atlantic’s premier technology solutions provider.
In 2012, DP Solutions experienced severe disruption
in a heavily populated data center when a building
generator died during a power outage, showing them the
importance of a fully developed business continuity plan.
Unfortunately, their attempts at independent BCP
development fell short. They had plenty of information, but
it was disorganized and missing a lot of crucial elements.
Another Attainium client recommended Plan-A-ware.
DP Solutions used Plan-A-ware to completely
formalize its business continuity plan. Since
Plan-A-ware is cloud-based, DP Solutions enjoys
the ease of maintenance and determining
resource allocations, as well as accountability
and checkpoints for monthly, quarterly, and
annual checks.

United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) manages the
national transplant waiting list. It is under contract for
the federal government, bringing together hundreds
of transplant and organ procurement professionals
and thousands of volunteers to make life-saving organ
transplants possible each day.
UNOS needed a comprehensive solution to consolidate
all department-level emergency plans into one
company-wide plan. Plan-A-ware helped them achieve
that and more. UNOS does two training exercises each
year with Attainium, including a pandemic exercise
right before COVID-19 hit. One of the things planned for
was the need to have 400 people work from home.
Government agencies now require contractors to have
plans in place, meaning UNOS is already head and
shoulders ahead because of the plans developed using
Plan-A-ware. UNOS continues to take advantage of any
emergency to update its plan and make it even better.

  • 3. Outdoor power equipment industry leader AriensCo had expanded from one facility in the U.S. to six facilities in the U.S., U.K., and Scandinavia. However, business continuity planning had not followed along with or become cohesive with the expansion. In the U.S., there were multiple plans for different departments, with information scattered in a hundred different places, and the U.K. had its own individually developed plan. When the Scandinavian location was completed in 2020, AriensCo turned to Attainium and Plan-A-ware to help. DP Solutions used Plan-A-ware to completely formalize its business continuity plan. Plan-A-ware enabled AriensCo to align their KBFs with IT needs and identify gaps. One of the most significant benefits was establishing emergency notification procedures.   • 4. 4 The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is a membership organization of more than 48,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations. ASAE has been working with Attainium for more than a decade to manage and maintain its business continuity plan. This was never more valuable than when employees were suddenly working from home. The process began by helping ASAE’s administration understand what they really needed to put into their plan. ASAE previously had an inventory of what mattered, but Attainium helped them take out excess info that was not relevant to emergency situations. Attainium’s project team then provided the momentum and direction to get initial information and planning steps loaded into Plan-A-ware and drive subsequent processes that needed to be done internally. With Plan-A-ware, information can now be updated easily, and timely email reminders were sent to those responsible for updates. This streamlines ASAE’s plan maintenance and ensures they are ready to respond to any crisis. “We were ready for the pandemic shutdown because Plan-A-ware made us think about what would happen if we couldn’t work in our office. In 2012, DP Solutions experienced severe disruption in a heavily populated data center when a building generator died during a power outage, showing them the importance of a fully developed business continuity plan. Unfortunately, their attempts at independent BCP development fell short. They had plenty of information, but it was disorganized and missing a lot of crucial elements. Another Attainium client recommended Plan-A-ware. DP Solutions used Plan-A-ware to completely formalize its business continuity plan.   • 6. 6 United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) manages the national transplant waiting list. It is under contract for the federal government, bringing together hundreds of transplant and organ procurement professionals and thousands of volunteers to make life-saving organ transplants possible each day. UNOS needed a comprehensive solution to consolidate all department-level emergency plans into one company-wide plan. Plan-A-ware helped them achieve that and more. UNOS does two training exercises each year with Attainium, including a pandemic exercise right before COVID-19 hit. One of the things planned for was the need to have 400 people work from home. Government agencies now require contractors to have plans in place, meaning UNOS is already head and shoulders ahead because of the plans developed using Plan-A-ware.
