2. The theme of my project is “Eating out” and I want to speak about the coffee bars, cafeterias and restaurants in Balakovo. Also in that presentation I want to tell you about which arrangements can be held in these e stablishment s.

3. Cafeteria “Upelsin” This institution is in Fakel Socializma Street, 24. When I say “cafeteria” I mean self-service. The menu there is very varied. It includes a lot of dishes such as different kinds of soup, second courses, desserts, stewed fruits and fruit waters, etc. Also there is a bar, where you can order fresh juice or coffee. Food there is rather cheap. There is plenty of room here and also there is children’s playground.

4. Cafeteria “Subway” This institution is in Lenin Street, 117. The menu there is also varied. You can order sandwiches, juice, coffee, cocoa, tea, salad or French fried potato. The prices are rather low. You can go there with your friends or with your family, but it’s more youth place than a family café.

5. P izzeria “Mamma Mia” It’s in Stepnaya Street, 94/1. Menu there is like in other pizzerias, but there is a difference – pizza makes just as you’ve ordered it. I mean, you’re able to eat fresh pizza. Food here is not cheap or expensive. Prices are average. You can come here with your friends or family. There is children’s playground.

6. Café “Arabica” It’s in Academica Zhuck Street, 12. In fact, this cafe can be also called a restaurant because of its dishes. There are many kinds of coffee and tea, fresh and tasty desserts, good second courses and V.I.P. rooms. This place can suit for a family holiday – a birthday party or just family supper. Eating here is rather expensive.

7. Café “Shale” It is situated in Fakel Socializma Street, 10. This institution is used to be a café “Stariy Zamok” (The Old Castle). Now it has become for youth and teenagers, but the atmosphere of the Middle Ages is prior. Also there is wide range of dishes. This place suits for noisy parties – a birthday party or meeting with old friends.

8. Bowling centre “Mega” This institution is in Sovetskaya Street, 57. There you can dance or play bowling, have fun with your friends and eat tasty food in its restaurant. Also there is a special programme for children and billiard for adults. And there is sauna. All these services are rather expensive.

9. Café “Edem” (Paradise) This institution is at the end of our town. There you can skate in winter and fish in summer. Food there is amazing and is not very expensive. “Edem” is like a café out-of-doors. It’s a very quite and peaceful place for meals with your family.
