This document contrasts things that are easy with things that are difficult across several domains of human life and relationships. Some examples given are that it is easy to occupy a small space like a phone directory listing but difficult to occupy someone's heart, easy to judge others' mistakes but hard to see your own errors, and easy to receive but challenging to selflessly give to others. The overall message is that meaningful human connections and personal growth often require taking the more difficult path.
