Anita graduated from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia with a
Bachelor of Education specialising in Early Childhood. She taught in Early Years classrooms in
Australia before moving to the United Kingdom to gain further experience working overseas,
teaching in Bristol in the Foundation years and Key Stage 1 (KG2 &G1) before coming to JBS.
With a keen interest in languages and EAL, she has also taught English at the Bath Spanish
Summer Camp ͚Dreaŵ and LearŶ͛.
Lindsay Carty
Pre-K Teacher
Lindsay graduated with an honours degree (Bachelor of Education) from St.
Patrick͛s College of Education, Dublin in 2002 and went on to do a Masters in
Education specialising in Early Childhood Education with the same college in 2006. She then
taught in Ireland at all primary class levels. She has spent five of these years teaching in an
infant school and has also taught in primary schools in Sydney, Australia. She completed her
postgraduate diploma in Educational Leadership in 2012, when she also joined JBS.

Sarah Hampson, Grade Leader
Sarah graduated from Northern College of Education in Aberdeen with a Bachelor of Education
Degree in 1996 and worked in the North East of Scotland for a further 7 years. In 2003, Sarah
started her International Teaching career in Italy where she taught in the Early Years for 4
years. In 2007 Sarah moved to Muscat, Oman where she continued to work in the Early Years
and had the additional responsibility of leading the Early Years team. Outside of school Sarah
enjoys taking part in amateur dramatics, swimming, travelling and reading.
2. Sarah O'Shaughnessy
KG 1 Teacher
Sarah graduated in 2006 with an honors degree in Primary Education with
Mathematics from Stranmillis University College in Belfast, Northern Ireland and
then went on to teach at Ebbrington School in Londonderry. She accepted a position in 2009 to
teach in The Scholars International Academy, Sharjah where she taught the English National
Curriculum in Foundation 2 (KG1) and Year 1 (KG2). Sarah has also worked in Nursery Schools in
Melbourne, Australia. She is an IRFU Tag Rugby coach and has a special interest in Netball, PE
and Athletics.
Blathnaid Rooney
KG 1 Teacher
Blathnaid is an honours graduate of the National University of Ireland Galway
where she studied Spanish and Geography, and holds a post graduate certificate in
primary school education from Saint Patrick´s College of Education in Dublin. She joined JBS in
2011 from the Abu Dhabi Private International School where she worked as an early years
teacher. Blathnaid has a keen interest in the educational areas of music and drama.
