El informe CPPI utiliza dos enfoques metodológicos diferentes para calcular la clasificación del índice: uno administrativo o técnico y otro estadístico, basado en análisis factorial (FA). Según los autores, esta dualidad pretende asegurar una clasificación que refleje con precisión el rendimiento real del puerto, a la vez que sea estadísticamente sólida. En esta edición del informe CPPI 2023, se han empleado los mismos enfoques metodológicos y se ha aplicado un método de agregación de clasificaciones para combinar los resultados de ambos enfoques y obtener una clasificación agregada.

- 2. The Vietnam War had a death toll of 54,148 American soldiers, with an additional 304,000 soldiers injured while serving in the war. These numbers are out of the 2.59 million who served in Vietnam, making this war the deadliest in our nation’s history. The death toll
- 3. After the war was over, there were many reported deaths that could have been linked to the war itself. These deaths were the result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD as it is better known. A study found that approximately 30% of men and 27% of women who served in Vietnam reportedly had shown signs of PTSD after the Vietnam war. The After-affect
- 4. The war in Vietnam has many costs associated with it. The loss of a family member or friend is beyond any monetary number. The cost to treat PTSD victims is unknown due to the extensive additional health problems associated to PTSD, but studies have shown the Veterans Association (VA) has had increases in costs due to the aging Vietnam veterans. - 5. This question has been asked many times: Was it worth the amount of deaths that occurred in Vietnam for the Americans to be there? Overall, the answer is no. It is never worth losing anyone over a communist ruler, whether it had been Stalin, or in the recent times, Kim Jong-Il. Losing someone is never worth the effort, but war is inevitable. - 6. All of this was based off the essay I wrote on the contextual analysis of O’Brien’s collection, The Things They Carried. I have family who went to war, and I feel it is necessary, to some extent. If there are guarantees that there will be many losses, such as they had in Vietnam, then I feel the leaders of the country should keep our troops away from the area. I may not be in agreement with many, but I do realize we need the wars to keep our freedom. So, if you don’t stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them! My Thoughts
