Leading, Implementing, and Sustaining Innovations in Personalized LearningDreamBox Learning
As leaders continue innovating to improve the achievement and life-long success of all students, many are working to make schools and classrooms more personalized and responsive for students. To design, implement, and sustain learning environments that ensure a more relevant and personal experience for learners, there are several key factors that school leaders must consider. How can leaders support the collaborative development of effective personalized learning models?
In this webinar, Dr. Tim Hudson, Vice President of Learning at DreamBox Learning, shares ideas to help leaders create and sustain innovations that benefit students, teachers, parents, and school culture.
Topics include:
Mission and Vision: What are our schools and programs “in business” to accomplish?
Effort with Impact: How can data drive ongoing improvement in student achievement and personalized learning models?
Pedagogy and Technology: When does technology appropriately support personalized learning in pedagogically sound ways?
All K-12 educators and administrators interested in school improvement, personalized learning, and data-informed decision-making will benefit from this recorded webinar.

21st Century School Presentation - Acorn High SchoolLisa Nielsen
This presentation provides an overview of how Acorn high school has made strides to become a school that prepares students for 21st century teaching and learning.
Les Paul is a guiding light in the life of Richie Sambora and it seems he still is, shining a 'spot' on his man from above. On July 22 and 23, in honor of the legendary Les Paul, Sambora delivered his blues-based vocals and signature guitar sound to an intimate room of 170 lucky fans at The Iridium Theatre in Manhattan. For those whose fortune's wheel landed on "Sold Out," the series of 3 shows - meant to mark the late Les Paul's birthday and raise funds for the Les Paul Foundation - will air on Public Television's Front And Center this Fall.
What was immediately evident to any onlooker were Sambora's vocal chops, opening with a bare-bones version of Leon Russell's intimate "Song For You." Sans guitar, Sambora solidified his Frontman-worthy status. His dramatic interpretation introducing the audience to the man beyond the axe. A talent more than the gifted artisan famous for the complimentary glow and grit he's brought to Bon Jovi's generation-transcending sound.
Jon Bon Jovi and the Kings of Suburbia
By Jennifer Pricci, (http://www.newjerseystage.com)
When Jon Bon Jovi holds court with his Kings of Suburbia, it’s not an internationally renowned rock star that you see, and not a front-man of a rock n’ roll band, or, more formally, the CEO of the 13th highest grossing band on the Forbes Top 100 list. Think Jon Bon Jovi, music fan.

Research Center
To further engage students with their course work,
the highly interactive Research Center offers a
true-to-life learning environment for students,
teachers and advisors, and administrators. The
various activities and features of the Research
Center are based on a virtual world where students
travel through different chat room environments.
Navigating through buildings, rooms, fl oors and
doors, students, as their own custom “avatars,” tour
a virtual world of content interacting with each
other and their instructors along the way.
Students can see other avatars in a room as they
enter and live chat. They can also keep a “friends”
list - as they would on other social networks. The
heightened engagement that results from use of
these dynamic features aids in skill acquisition and
the collaborative environment encourages students
to help each other with coursework – a proven tactic
in enhancing skill retention.
Course structure
Each EdisonLearning eCourse contains 180 individual lessons (45 lessons per
9 week part). Every lesson focuses on one or two standards-based objectives
that are clear and attainable. This structure helps students maintain focus
and motivation by accomplishing achievable goals in each lesson, a technique
which has been shown to foster success in online learning. Each lesson can be
delivered as a standalone that contains clear prerequisite skill identifi cation.
This Modular Structure allows the courses to be adapted to individual
student needs and enables application to varied academic situations.
Full-year courses consist of 4 parts, each containing 3 units of 15 lessons
each. Assessments are given at the end of each lesson, unit, and part.
