Supplies can be purchased at:

Pencils and Charcoal
1 box medium vine charcoal
3 graphite pencils (only purchase HB)
1 box PRIMO compressed charcoal sticks
OR
1 box JUMBO Compressed Charcoal
Primo is a slightly better product but will not last as long. If you have the resources buy both!
1 complete set of generals Peel and Sketch charcoal pencils (extra soft, soft, medium)
Please purchase a pencil you can “peel” as it is much easier and safer that pencils that
must be sharpened with exacto-blade to sharpen. You cannot use a pencil sharpener for
charcoal pencils because it will break in the sharpener.
1 jar Generals or Cretacolor Charcoal POWDER or (2-3 people can share 1) DO NOT BUY GRAPHITE
POWDER. I usually have this item stocked in class as it is difficult.
Pens
PENS: (all black)
1 large "Magnum" sharpie pen
1 chisel tip large sharpie
1-2 fine point
1-2 ulta-fine point
1 micron (.05 mm or less) ultra-ultra fine point
Paper
1 medium sized pad of high quality drawing paper (at least 18”x24”) (higher quality paper yields richer,
smoother drawings, so it may be wise to spend a little money on this item)
STRATHMORE is the best brand. Do not purchase “bond” or “sketch” paper
Drawing Tools
1 bottle aerosal spray fixative (you can share this item with a friend or two)
DO NOT BUY SPRAY ADHESIVE BY ACCIDENT!
1-2 kneaded erasers
1 vinyl eraser
various sized blending sticks (thin medium and thick)
1 pencil sharpener or
1 small sand paper pack (to sharpen blending sticks)
1 chamois or small rag-I recommend purchasing this at Wal-Mart or an Auto Store
This is an animal product, you can substitute with a lint free cloth
1 large T-Square (preferably metal)
1 roll REMOVEABLE SCOTCH TAPE (the same stickiness as a post-it note)
1 cardboard or high quality portfolio case-these can be made easily from cardboard for free
1 small dust broom
1 plastic triangle or small ruler
1 art supply box (a tackle box for fishing lures works best)
1 Factis BM2 eraser stick with eraser refills
