T-SQUARE OR TEE SQUARE
 Is drawing tool used to
draw horizontal line
and as a guide or
support of the
triangles when
drawing incline lines
and vertical lines.

TRIANGLES
 It can be used
to create
vertical lines
and it is made
of celluloid.

sheet of metal of
stainless or
alloyed
aluminum.

 It use for drawing
straight and
curved lines either
freehand and
mechanical.
 Drawing pencils
have various
grades of
hardness or
softness.
DRAWING PENS
 Are generally used for lettering and
drawing lines.
 PENCIL SHARPENER
-it has varied size slots
into which different
sizes of pencils can
be inserted.
•SANDPAPER PAD
- The pad helps make
the pencil point conical
and long without
breaking it.
 DRAFTSMAN TAPE
-This type of tape does
not ruin the drawing
paper when it is
detached from the
paper.
•RUBBER ERASER
- It is used to erase the
unwanted marks on the
paper
REMINDERS ON THE USE OF THE DRAWING
INSTRUMENTS
 Don’t use the head of the T-square as hammer.
 Don’t put oil on joints of the compass or divider.
 Don’t sharpen the pencil over the drawing board.
 Never fill up pen over the drawing board
 Always clean the instruments and drawing table before
beginning your work.
 Don’t fold the drawing paper or tracing paper
 Don’t use the edge of the T-square as guide in the cutting edge
of the paper.
 Always clean your drawing instruments after using it.
