thrown intoit?
I know,it’smad! WhenI firstpostedmyfirstfew songcoversI was so disappointedthatIonlygot a
couple hundredviewsandthenjustlike thatitwasjumpingfromthousandstomillionsinamatter
of days- Iwas justso freakedout,Ihad to keeprefreshingthe pagestomake sure it was real! I
actuallywentintomylocal supermarketandwasrecognisedbyalittle girl- itwasso weird!
SometimesIdowonderwhatitwouldhave beenlike if I’dof stayedstuckatfiftyviews,butthenI
wouldn’tbe here now,sothe daysthat do feel alittle stressful justdon’tmattertome whenIthink
aboutall I’ve achieved…
You’re one luckylady! So, tell us, what was it like playingatthe V Festival?
Honestly,whenmymanagerfirsttoldme, Ifeltreallyiffyaboutthe whole thing- Ijustdidn’tthinkit
wouldbe myvibe,butdo youknowwhat, I wouldn’tturnback onmy decision.Itwasabsolutely
amazing…plusIgotmeetbabyspice whichwasso cool,althoughI didfeel like abitof a mad fangirl.
The most surprisingthingforme washow many people turnedupjusttosee me;at one pointI was
blubberingdownthe phone tomymumabouthow happy I was- itwas quite asite.
So manyof our readers where disappointedwhenthey couldn’tget tickets! Fansmust mean a lot
to you inyour career?
Awww,maybe nexttime (laughs)… Yeah,theyreallydo,Iwouldliterallyhave nocareerwithout
them.It soundssocliché,butI’dcease to existif ithadn’tof beenforthemwatchingmy youtube
uploadsandsharingthem.I guessI’mjustluckyto have beenborninan era where the powerof
social mediaissostrong, I definitelydon’tthinkI’dbe where Iamwithoutit- there’ssomany
amazingartists’whojustnevermake it!
So you’veticked off the UK and Europe fromyour touringbucket listand nowwe hear North
America isnext!
That is definitelythe biggest perkof myjob- I’mreallyhopingthatI’ll be able totravel the whole
worldone day,I guessa girl can dream! I’mactuallynotheadingoutthere foranotheryearyet,so
it’sstill all inthe planningprocessanda little hushhushbutwhatI can tell youisthat it’sdefinitely
goingahead!I can’t be givingtoomuch away(winks).

You’re a toughcookie to crack then! It’s been almosttwo years since your debut album- will we be
seeing a new one anytimesoon?
It doesfeel like suchalongtime since Ireleasedit,butsomucheffortwentintoitand it reallypaid
off whenitwas certifiedgoldhere inthe UK- Iwas soover the moonwhenmymanagertoldme!
What I can tell youthoughisthat I’m currentlyaquarter of a way intoa new project- you’ll justall
have to waitand see whatit is!There’sstill quiteabitto do, butwe’re gettingthere…
Now you’vegot us all excited! How’s your recent move to London been?
It’sfunnyreally,Ididn’tknowLondonthat well tobeginwithandmymum kepttellingme tolook
intoit,but beinga typical teenagerIplungedstraightin!Expectantly,I haven’tendedupinthe
nicestpart soit’sbeena bitof a culture shockbut it’sgrowingonme.
Mum’sare alwaysrightwhether you’re famousor not! One last questionandthen will let you

Whatis the one item you wouldn’tleave behindwhen ontour?
Ohhhhthat’sa toughone…Iwouldsaymyphone because it’sthe onlywayI can keepintouchwith
my familyandfriends…Buthonestlyif Ihadto choose it wouldbe myguitar,sorry mum!It sounds
like sucha cheesythingtosay, butI’m definitelymostinspiredwhenI’monthe road,I have more
time to thinkabouthowI feel (laughs).
