Dr. Ajay Rana has over 20 years of experience in academia and industry, holding roles from lecturer to professor to director to dean. He is an educationalist focused on machine learning, IoT, augmented reality, software engineering, and soft computing. He has over 60 patents, 271 research papers, 8 books co-authored, and 36 conference proceedings edited. Currently, he is Dean at Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Director of the Amity Institute of Information Technology, while also advising multiple other organizations.

Dr. Ajay Rana has demonstrated his Intellectual, Interpersonal and Managerial skills with vast
teaching experience in Academics & Industry with the role ranging from Lecturer to Professor
to Director to Dean with in a span of more than 20 years.
He is an Educationalist, a Teacher by heart, an Innovator, Strategist and a Committed
Philanthropist with deep organizational Ethics, Equality and holding hands of every individual
who wish to succeed in life as the core of his life philosophy.
His areas of interests include Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality,
Software Engineering and Soft Computing.
He has 60 plus patents under his name in the field of IoT, Network and Sensors. He has
published more than 271 Research Papers in reputed Journals like ACM, Springer, Elsevier,
Taylor and Francis and others, and International and National Conferences, Co-authored 08
Books and co-edited 36 Conference Proceedings.
Prof Rana is Chairman AUN Research Labs, Executive Committee Member of IEEE Uttar
Pradesh Section, Senior Member of IEEE and Life Member of Computer Society of India and
ISTE. He is also the member of Editorial Board and Review Committee of several Journals.
With an intent to provide a robust learning environment to his students, he has visited many
Top Universities & Colleges, which have legacy of more than 1200 years of producing leaders
on the global front in entire Europe, UAE, UK & Asia. He has undertaken 36 Sponsored
Research Projects and 09 major systems based Management / HRD Consultancies in a number
of reputed organizations both public and private, in India and abroad.
18 students have completed their Ph.D. under him and currently 8 students are working on their
doctorate under him. He has organized more than 500 conferences, workshops, faculty
development programs, Seminar and Talk sponsored by IEEE, Springer, CSI and others. He
has been conferred with Honorary Professorship from ULAB Bangladesh.
Dr Ajay Rana has been honoured with numerous awards & recognition for his extraordinary

Presently Prof Rana is working as Dean in Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida. He is also
Director, Amity Institute of Information Technology. He also owns the additional
responsibility, as Senior Vice President, RBEF – Trust of Amity. He is part of the Board of
Directors and also serving as Advisor to the Management of Amity Group. He is Member of
the Consultative Group NEP 2020 CBSE (Ministry of Education, GOI). He is also the
Director of Rajasthan Asset Management Co. Pvt. Ltd (Rajasthan).
