The document discusses the providential history leading up to the establishment of communism in the Soviet Union and its relationship to Christianity. It notes that when ecclesiastic love waned in Christian Europe, communism emerged as a response, promising salvation to the starving masses. Christianity failed to adequately address the materialist and communist ideologies, which then spread globally. The document argues that for God's providence to be fulfilled, a new truth must emerge that can reconcile religion and science and overcome communist ideology. It presents Rev. Moon's teachings and activities as working to establish this new truth and bring about the ideal world that God intends.
The document summarizes the position of the "Church of the Center" and one of its subgroups called the "Synthesists" or those who believe in a "Christ Above Culture" view.
The Church of the Center believes that believers irrationally combine devotion to Christ who rejects culture with devotion to culture that includes Christ. The Synthesists take a "both/and" approach - that Christ separates believers from overly accommodating views of culture but also from those who reject culture entirely. They believe Christ enters life from above with gifts like salvation that culture cannot provide on its own.
The Synthesists view has strengths in recognizing that the Creator and Savior are one, that salvation does not

EDIFICATION OF THE CHRISTIAN CIVILIZATION ALTERNATIVE TO THOSE FOUNDED UPON THE PROFIT AND ON THE ACCUMULATION OF THE WEALTH AND THE POWER TO IMPEDE THE INJUSTICES, THE WARS AND THE EVIL
This document provides background on Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a prominent 20th century theologian. It discusses how Bonhoeffer was executed for his role in assassination attempts on Hitler. The author argues that Bonhoeffer fits into Richard Niebuhr's category of "Christ the Transformer" because he believed Christianity could redeem German culture through responsible action. The document provides an overview of Bonhoeffer's life and influential theologians, and discusses how his theology focused on Christian responsibility in society.
The document summarizes the major cultural and intellectual shifts between the Middle Ages and the mid-20th century. It describes how medieval Europe had a unified Christian culture with hierarchical social structures. The Renaissance then sparked a shift towards humanism and individualism as ancient Greek/Roman texts were rediscovered. This led to revolutions in theology, philosophy, politics, law, science and more as paradigms shifted from a vertical, transcendent worldview to a horizontal, human-centered one. By 1950, the modern world had ended and values like reason and progress no longer energized society, leading to feelings of alienation and malaise.
This document provides an overview of humanism, atheism, communism, and their relationship to religion. It argues that humanism positions humans as gods and rejects the need for religion or spirituality. Atheism believes no god exists, while communism aims for a classless society but denies human sinfulness. The document criticizes evolution as unscientific and theistic evolution for contradicting God. Ultimately, it asserts that without religion, humanism leads to lack of meaning, morality, and worth that contributes to issues like suicide and abortion.
This document summarizes the dualist perspective on the relationship between Christ and culture. It makes several key points:
- Dualists see a fundamental conflict between God and humanity due to human sinfulness. While God's grace is the source of reconciliation, sin permeates all human culture and reason.
- Dualists acknowledge that Christians are inevitably part of culture but see culture as infected by sin. They live in tension between their Christian and cultural commitments.
- Martin Luther exemplified dualism by distinguishing yet not dividing life in Christ and life in the world/culture. He rejected both the synthesist and radical positions. For Luther, faith determines how one acts in culture, while the content of actions comes
This document discusses feminine values of power according to the New Testament. It argues that concepts of power and authority have historically been separated from feminine concepts and used to oppress women. It proposes that a "Great Feminine Age" will emerge where societies are structured based on spiritual principles that see God as a holy spirit rather than an almighty man. This age will promote arts and sciences that honor life and nature through feminine values like love, beauty, and kindness. It will have new types of elites to spread these values and move away from patriarchal imperial systems. The age aims to establish a balanced relationship between men and women as equal partners that complement each other in creating and protecting life.
This document compares and contrasts traditional theology with liberation theology. Traditional theology focuses on sin as an individual act and salvation of the soul, while liberation theology sees sin as participating in unjust social structures and aims to save both souls and bodies by liberating the poor from oppression. It discusses key figures, locations, methods, and interpretations of salvation and the cross that differ between the two theological approaches.

1. Augustine viewed the secular world as autonomous but temporary, until Christ's return, while the church proclaimed the eternal kingdom of God.
2. He resisted the idea of a "Christian empire" and making the secular world sacred. The earthly city was mixed with good and bad, unlike the eternal city of God.
3. Augustine believed rulers and governments were secondary to the kingdom of God and would ultimately fail. The church experienced the true eternal public community, not secular institutions.
The document discusses the history of values in Europe and the shift between theocentric and humanistic worldviews. It traces the development of key European values like freedom, equality, rule of law, and democracy from ancient Greece to modern times. The values arose gradually through steps like developing humanistic thinking in antiquity, embracing rationality in the Enlightenment, establishing secularity through separation of church and state, and recognizing universal human rights in the 20th century. However, these values have faced threats throughout history from reversions to more theocentric views, and their preservation depends on continued advocacy today.

He believed people consented to form societies and cede some rights to a sovereign authority in order to have security and order.
- John Locke believed individuals in a state of nature had natural rights and consented to form governments to better protect those rights from harm, as living without such protection would leave individuals in a state of fear. He advocated for limiting government power to protect individual freedoms.

The document discusses the democratic values promoted by the European Union. It begins by providing background on the formation and key institutions of the EU. It then outlines the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and how human rights are protected in the EU through conventions and courts. Democratic values like freedom, equality, and justice are explained as the ethical foundations of democracy. The EU promotes diversity of values and human dignity. Through education and intercultural dialogue, the EU develops a tolerant, multicultural society that reconciles majority rule with minority rights. Comparing the rules of a Spanish high school to the EU, the summary finds they share common aspects like international regulations, obligations, rights, duties and a focus on respect for human dignity and democratic principles.

This document provides an analysis of Karl Marx's views on Judaism and Jews as expressed in his 1843 work "On the Jewish Question." The author argues that Marx held strongly anti-Semitic views, believing that Judaism was nothing more than a means to acquire material wealth through usury and money-lending. Marx accused Jews of reducing all objects and human relations to their monetary value, causing alienation. While Marx did not propose a Jewish conspiracy, he saw the Jewish mentality as wholly incompatible with his vision of a humane socialist society and believed emancipation required liberation from Jewish influence. The author asserts Marx's anti-Semitism helped enable later acceptance of anti-Semitic ideas in Germany.
This document discusses secularism and its relationship to Christianity. It defines secularism as separating politics from religion and promoting religious freedom and indifference to religion by the state. The document argues that social secularization has emancipated society from religious control and promoted individual freedom and responsibility before God. While secularism can protect religious pluralism, an ideology that declares all religion as anti-scientific goes too far. Ultimately, secular politics will cease at Christ's second coming when all people will acknowledge Him as Lord.
1. Akhnaton, Pharaoh of Egypt in the 14th century BC, was considered the world's first democrat for establishing social consciousness in governing his nation.
2. As the first monotheist, he established a new religion centered around the sun disk Aton and rejected the traditional Egyptian polytheism and priesthood of Amun. He built a new capital at Akhetaten dedicated to Aton.
3. Akhnaton saw the ruler's duty as protecting all people's right to live well and think freely. He was a pacifist, humanitarian, and internationalist who believed all people and creatures were children of Aton and should live in peace. He willingly gave his life
Gaudium et Spes is a pastoral constitution issued by Pope Paul VI in 1965 that addresses the Catholic Church's relationship with the modern world. It discusses topics like poverty, social justice, science, technology, and ecumenism. The document was approved by over 90% of bishops at the Second Vatican Council and has significantly influenced Christian social teachings. It establishes that the joys, hopes, griefs and anguish of all people, especially the poor and afflicted, belong to followers of Christ.
Critical Space Theory examines how space is created and shaped by ideological and power structures to benefit those in power. It views the colonization process as the displacement and renaming of indigenous spaces by colonizing cultures for economic and cultural domination. Examples discussed include how Christian churches were built atop sacred Celtic sites in Britain to assert dominance, appropriate spirituality, and erase Celtic histories and culture. Similarly, St. Michael churches were built on islands and locations sacred to pre-Christian Britons and Gauls. This process of renaming and claiming indigenous spaces was a key tactic in colonial projects worldwide used to establish political and cultural hegemony.
Humanism and challenges faced by the church authorityHudiKhatib
The document discusses the history and challenges of humanism and its relationship with the church. It notes that in the Middle Ages, the Catholic Church dominated all aspects of society and suppressed scientific knowledge and rational thinking. The first humanists opposed this and believed freedom, equality, and rational thinking would flourish. While humanism emphasized individual freedom and dignity, it challenged the church's authority by opposing tradition as a basis for morality and supporting democratic ideals over the church's monarchial system, which threatened the power and influence the church previously held in people's lives.
This document discusses several key topics related to the sociology of religion:
1) It defines religiosity and the different ways people can express or experience religion.
2) It outlines Ernst Troeltsch's typology of religious organizations as ecclesia, church, sect, and cult. It then describes the characteristics of each type.
3) It discusses some of the major theoretical perspectives in sociology on how religion affects society and individuals, such as the functionalist, conflict theory, and rational choice perspectives. Religion can both unite and divide society.
This document summarizes the rise of science and decline of classical liberalism in the late 19th century. It describes how faith in science grew due to new inventions and Darwin's theory of evolution, which challenged religious views. It also discusses how social Darwinism, anthropology, psychology, and physics further undermined religious beliefs. As rationalism increased, liberalism declined as new theories of human behavior emerged and nations pursued economic nationalism over free trade. By the early 20th century, classical liberal views of individualism and laissez-faire economics had waned.

Great Challenges for World Peace book 5Miguel Cano
In this book we analyze the great challenges that humanity would have to overcome if we want to achieve a stable and lasting peace for the new millennium.
A first big problem is to end hunger and poverty in the world and achieve a global equalization of wealth.
The second great challenge of our days is to try to solve the problem of moral degradation and widespread corruption at all levels of society.
A third major challenge is to prevent the wars and conflicts between nations, ethnic groups or cultures that caused such disastrous humanitarian consequences in the twentieth century, as well as to solve the serious problem of international terrorism.
Citizenship, religion, authority and identityWilliam Haines
This document explores the relationship between citizenship education and religious education by examining the historical and philosophical roots of citizenship. It argues that the idea of citizenship originated from Greek philosophy, which can be considered a religious tradition. Modern concepts of citizenship and the state developed from Enlightenment thinkers rejecting religious authority in favor of reason and elevating the state to the highest form of human organization. This raises issues for how citizenship education relates to a person's religious identity and views of authority.
This document provides a summary of a research paper on Christian approaches to labor issues in mid-20th century America. It discusses the rise of Christian socialism in the late 19th/early 20th century in response to concerns about social justice. It describes two early Christian labor organizations - the Christian Labor Union of 1872 and the Christian Commonwealth Colony of 1896, which took more radical stances in support of workers' rights and communal property. The document also examines two Catholic publications from 1939 that advocated for harmonious relations between labor and management based on Catholic social teachings, using the example of a shoe company that adopted profit-sharing and job security policies.
A Western education is highly Eurocentric, but pretends to be objective and universal. In particular, social sciences are lessons extracted from European historical experience on how to organized society. The false claim, embodied in the word "science", is that these are universally applicable. Shock and Awe of Western technological prowess has led to unquestioning acceptance of this claim. In turn, this has led to the attempt to shape all societies around the world on European patterns. This has caused massive harm, as these European conceptions of society are in dramatic conflict with local cultures. There is an urgent need to recognize and reject Eurocentric Social Science, and rebuild the study of diverse societies on broader intellectual bases. Islamic epistemology provides such alternative foundations, which are discussed in this set of slides
Responding to Revolution with Relevant Reformation ResourcesPeter Hammond
This document calls Christians to stand up against revolutionary forces seeking to undermine Christian civilization. It summarizes recent race riots in the US and warns that many rioters came from Christian homes without proper biblical teaching. It urges Christians to engage culture rather than ignore issues and to provide discipleship teaching youth how to defend their faith. The document lists resources for understanding cultural Marxism and exposing its agenda, and encourages training young people to survive and thrive through biblical worldview teaching.

How the new world order is hijacking civilizationPeter Hammond
History testifies how God has blessed and used the Christian nations to bless all the families of the nations of the earth. The Protestant nations of Western Europe have a great Christian heritage. Despite violent opposition, Protestants emerged from the fires of persecution to change lives, make history and transform nations. Faithful believers contended for the Faith, preserved and translated God's Word, Reformed the Church and vigorously proclaimed the Word of God to all nations.

The medieval period in history is the period in which monotheist too.docxlaurieellan
The medieval period in history is the period in which monotheist took root against polytheism and pantheism. It was a definite transition period that changed the scope of history and shaped everything from artwork and philosophy to science and fashion.Imagine if that hadn't happened. Imagine if polytheism and pantheism had remained strong and Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and the other monotheistic religions hadn't become strong. Choose a country in the world and tell what would be different about that country if monotheism had been just one of many options in religion rather than the dominant religion of the state. Each student must pick a different country. Find out what the native religion of the country was and explain how that might have effected the development of the nation.
Write at least 20 complete, grammatically correct sentences about this matter
Respond to a classmate's post after posting your own adding to their picture if you know any other details about the development of their country (3 complete, grammatically correct sentences at least).

If the current dominant monotheistic religions had not been shoved into the social/political/institutional aspects (the everythings) of history, religion itself would not have the influence we see now. Polytheistic and pantheistic religions did not demand so much force. Seeing God as the Universe (pantheism) or God in multiple essences (polytheism) had influence on the people, of course. But the world had not seen quite such large-scale intimidation before seeing God as one and as above you. All three dominant monotheistic religions have been utilized by those in power to oppress the common people, but Christianity in particular comes to mind. Christianity has seen epochs of brutal force and fear strike (western) society. In Europe they did so by instilling fear of GOD; the fear of hell. Beyond just that, the powerful convinced the people that in order to be Good and go to Heaven, one must abide by the rules of their institution. They must go to church and listen to a (man) spew lies about the Bible and how one must live their lives. This European influence followed the very foundation of the United States of America! It is in GOD that we trust not in many. Christianity has been the justification for what the powerful deem acceptable. It has been used in the U.S. to justify things from the oppression of woman to the subjugation of blacks to the abuse of immigrants and the persecution of gays. But it is the fear and the misguidance of a seemingly all powerful institution that destroys the name of Christianity. Had it not been for Christianity, all this would be different and far less rampant. Or at least the justification would not be so strong and influential because the religious institutions would not have been such a powerful force to begin with. People would not have been fed such potent lies.

This document discusses the histories and definitions of cosmopolitanism and patriotism. Cosmopolitanism originated in ancient Greece and emphasizes world citizenship over allegiance to individual states. It developed through Greek philosophers, Roman Stoics, and Enlightenment thinkers proposing a united Europe. Patriotism emerged in imperial Rome and modernized during the American and French revolutions to represent commitment to the nation-state. Both concepts continue evolving with globalization and debates around nationalism versus individual freedoms.

Anarchism: Its Aims and Purposes
Anarchism versus economic monopoly and state power; Forerunners of modern Anarchism; William Godwin and
his work on Political Justice; P.J. Proudhon and his ideas of political and economic decentralisation; Max Stirner's
work, The Ego and Its Own; M. Bakunin the Collectivist and founder of the Anarchist movement; P. Kropotkin the
exponent of Anarchist Communism and the philosophy of Mutual Aid; Anarchism and revolution; Anarchism a
synthesis of Socialism and Liberalism; Anarchism versus economic materialism and Dictatorship; Anarchism and
the state; Anarchism a tendency of history; Freedom and culture.
Anarchism is a definite intellectual current in the life of our times, whose adherents advocate the abolition of
economic monopolies and of all political and social coercive institutions within society. In place of the present
capitalistic economic order Anarchists would have a free association of all productive forces based upon co-
operative labour, which would have as its sole purpose the satisfying of the necessary requirements of every
member of society, and would no longer have in view the special interest of privileged minorities within the social
union. In place of the present state organisation with their lifeless machinery of political and bureaucratic
institutions Anarchists desire a federation of free communities which shall be bound to one another by their
common economic and social interest and shall arrange their affairs by mutual agreement and free contract.
Anyone who studies at all profoundly the economic and social development of the present social system will easily
recognise that these objectives do not spring from the Utopian ideas of a few imaginative innovators, but that they
are the logical outcome of a thorough examination of the present-day social maladjustments, which with every new
phase of the existing social conditions manifest themselves more plainly and more unwholesomely. Modern
onopoly, capitalism and the totalitarian state are merely the last terms in a development which could culminate in
no other results.
The portentous development of our present economic system, leading to a mighty accumulation of social wealth in
the hands of privileged minorities and to a continuous impoverishment of the great masses of the people, prepared
the way for the present political and social reaction. and befriended it in every way. It sacrificed the general interest
of human society to the private interest of individuals, and thus systematically undermined the relationship between
man and man. People forgot that industry is not an end in itself, but should only be a means to ensure to man his
material subsistence and to make accessible to him the blessings of a higher intellectual culture. Where industry is
everything and man is nothing begins the realm of a ruthless economic despotism whose workings are no less
disastrous than those of any political despotism. The two mutually augment o ...

The document discusses the concepts of hierarchy, egalitarianism, and tradition. It argues that egalitarianism has never truly existed in human societies, which have always organized themselves hierarchically. Proponents of egalitarianism contradict themselves by noting that hierarchies inevitably reform. The document rejects democracy and egalitarianism, arguing instead that societies work best when ruled by an elite and organized according to traditional hierarchical principles that acknowledge inherent differences between people.
This document provides biographical and professional information about Zygmunt Bauman, a Polish sociologist and philosopher. It discusses how he was driven out of Poland by the communist government in 1968 and forced to give up his Polish citizenship. He then moved to Israel and later the UK. It outlines some of Bauman's major works and ideas, including his theories around modernity, postmodern consumerism, liquid modernity, and how he related the Holocaust to modern rationalization and bureaucracy. It also mentions his later work exploring the negative political effects of social media and his view that problems require global solutions rather than just local ones.
This led to revolutions in theology, philosophy, politics, law, science and more as paradigms shifted from a vertical spiritual view to a horizontal materialist view of humanity's place in the world and cosmos. By 1950, the modern world had ended and post-modernism brought feelings of alienation and disenchantment as institutions and beliefs lost their ability to engage people.

This document discusses several prophecies and prophets throughout history including:
- Nostradamus and his prophecies about the coming of Christ from the East to Asia and Korea specifically.
- Fatima and the Marian apparitions where Mary gave a message to be delivered to the Pope in 1960.
- The meaning and symbolism of prophecies in the Book of Daniel, Book of Revelation, and shape of Korea relating to the Second Coming of Christ and establishment of God's kingdom.
- Prophecies indicating 2000 years of preparation for Christ's return culminating in revelations given in Korea.
This document discusses several prophecies and religious figures that are claimed to have foretold or been connected with Sun Myung Moon and the Unification movement. It mentions prophecies by Nostradamus, Fatima revelations, Alice Bailey, William Branham, and communications from spiritualist Arthur Ford that are said to reference Moon. It also discusses meetings and writings by Sir Anthony Brooke about Moon's message of universal unity and human oneness. The document aims to show how these diverse sources collectively pointed to Moon's emergence and mission.
Was Jesus meant to marry, have children grand-children ...
was the Cross just a second alternative that did bring Spiritual
but not Physical salvation.
Here are introduction the the Divine Principle view.
Wolli Wonbon is an early manuscript of the Divine Principle written by Sun Myung Moon in 1951-1952 while living as a refugee in Pusan, South Korea. It contains almost 700 pages covering all aspects of the Divine Principle in a condensed form. While difficult to understand for ordinary people, it laid the foundation and roadmap for Moon's teachings. There is ongoing work to translate Wolli Wonbon into English to make it more accessible. It provides important insights into early understandings of theological concepts like the cross, God as both Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother, and the mission of Jesus and the Second Coming.
- The sermon discusses the providence of Cheonshimwon and its role in uniting Heaven and Earth. It highlights True Parents' teachings on becoming one with God and Christ.
- Testimonies are shared about experiences at Cheonshimwon prayer rallies, feeling True Father's heart and tears, and being spiritually revived.
- The sermon emphasizes that through Cheonshimwon, all people can attain a state of oneness with Heavenly Parent and True Parents, fulfilling the purpose of creating humanity in God's image.
This Sunday sermon discusses spiritual principles from the Bible and Divine Principle. It covers topics like the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds, the law of attraction, discerning good and evil spirits, and fallen human nature. The sermon argues that modern ills like depression, violence and addiction have spiritual roots in original sin and the fall of man. It presents a solution in millions of messiahs and true parents who can achieve salvation for all of humanity. The sermon encourages praying for inspiration to reach higher levels of goodness.
The document discusses humanity's fall from God and the restoration process. It states that after the fall, humans became "half human" and could no longer experience God with their five spiritual senses. True Parents were needed to restore this. The document also references the spirit world, mentioning that spirits grow through nourishment from God and the physical world. It advocates living for the sake of others to deny one's fallen nature and follow God.
This document discusses the spiritual world and the original homeland that humanity is meant to return to. It states that the spiritual world is the original homeland, but that humanity currently lives a fallen life on Earth in exile. God has been establishing religions to train and guide people to qualify to return to the original homeland, with the standard being living for the sake of others. The document then shares excerpts from the biography of Hak Ja Han about Satan trying to attack her as an infant but being defeated by her mother, indicating she was destined to defeat Satan. Finally, it lists examples of prophecies around the world that pointed to the year 2000 and the Second Coming.
This document discusses several topics relating to spirituality and the spiritual world, including:
- The human being has both a physical and spiritual aspect.
- Swedenborg described life after death where the spirit continues living in a spiritual world in a spiritual body that corresponds to the physical one.
- Swedenborg said that both good and bad people fully survive physical death and our destiny is determined by our actions in life.
- Ann Lee, the founder of the Shakers, believed that sexual relations were the root of all sin based on her interpretation of the Garden of Eden story.
- A Course in Miracles was dictated to Helen Schucman by an inner voice she identified as Jesus, and discusses
This document discusses biblical prophecies and prophecies concerning the Second Coming of Christ. It summarizes various prophecies from the Old Testament, New Testament, Korean prophecies from the Chung Gam Nok text, and prophecies of Nostradamus. It discusses how these prophecies foretold the appearance of the Messiah in Korea and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. The document also references how spiritual figures like Sundar Singh, Swedenborg, and others supported the idea of the Second Coming and resurrection of the body.
The document is a collection of quotes from Sun Myung Moon about the relationship between God and humanity. It discusses how human beings were created to be temples for God to dwell in. It says had Adam and Eve not fallen, God would live in our hearts and we would express God through our senses. It also talks about how Jesus came as the perfect temple for God and how through attaining perfection, one can become a temple where God's spirit lives. The quotes explore how God needs a physical form to manifest and rule over creation, and how through love, the spiritual and physical can be united.
This document provides a glossary of Korean spiritual terms used in the Unification movement. It defines abbreviations and short vocabulary for important texts, locations, and concepts. Key terms explained include Cheon Il Guk, the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, True Parents as the representatives of God, and the goal of establishing a world of peace under the heavenly parent. The document traces the origins and meanings behind the movement's terminology and emphasizes their significance for realizing God's ideal of one family under God.
Sermon DP & Beatitudes Part 2of2 - True Family - Owner of Peace & LineageBengt & Maarit de Paulis
The sermon discusses the Beatitudes from the Bible and their relationship to Divine Principle teachings. It provides quotes from Rev. Sun Myung Moon's speeches comparing the Old Testament commandments to Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. The sermon encourages living for the sake of others and finding one's ideal partner to establish a God-centered family. It concludes with a prayer and well wishes for the week.
The document is a summary of a sermon given on the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew. It discusses each of the nine Beatitudes that Jesus taught, relating them to Divine Principle teachings. For each Beatitude, it provides biblical context and an explanation of what Jesus meant in light of the Principle. The overall message is that through understanding the Principle, we can grasp Jesus' true meaning when he promised nine kinds of blessings to those who live according to his teachings.
The document provides scriptural evidence from both the Old and New Testaments to support key claims of the Divine Principle, including that:
1. The Fall of Man was sexual in nature, as hinted at in passages like Genesis 3:7 and Psalm 51:7.
2. Jesus came primarily to be accepted and establish a Holy Family through marriage and children, as was prophesied, before his death, as acceptance was necessary for salvation according to John 6:29.
3. There will be a New Adam and Eve, like Jesus, who will fulfill the mission of creating a sinless Holy Family and establishing God's Kingdom on Earth, as passages like Joel 2:28 and John 16:
The document discusses the life and purpose of Jesus Christ and Dr. Sun Myung Moon. It provides background on their births and missions to establish the foundations for a new heaven and new earth. It also references spiritual laws, principles, and the providence to establish God's kingdom.
This document discusses numerology and its relation to divine principles and scripture. Some key points:
1. Numbers are said to have a metaphysical existence and were important in ancient cultures like Greece. The Bible also emphasizes certain numbers like 40.
2. Divine Principle texts explain that numbers represent spiritual concepts - like 3 representing God as the unity of dual characteristics. All things grow through 3 stages according to mathematical principles.
3. Certain numbers hold providential meaning and are periods of indemnity - like the number 4 representing restoring the four position foundation or 40 representing separation from Satan. Restoring these numbers is necessary to establish the foundation of faith.
This document discusses the difference between cults and religions. It notes that early Christianity, Islam, and other major religions were initially regarded as cults. It suggests that the real difference between a cult and religion is about 100 years - once a group survives for multiple generations, it is considered a religion rather than a cult. The document provides historical examples and argues that groups must moderate behaviors and beliefs to survive across generations within a society. It cautions against accusing other religious groups of being cults when they are reasonably decent and function as citizens.
Un Jin Moon gave a sermon about the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. He discussed how Jesus gave Peter the keys to bind and loose on earth and heaven. True Father then explained the providence to establish home churches and tribal messiahship in order to restore what Jesus could not fulfill and realize the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. He emphasized living for others and experiencing the Kingdom of God internally through love of God and neighbor.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. I support the church, continue with ecumenical work and
engage in Victory Over Communism activities for the sake
of Korea's unification.
I am well aware that the unification of Korea is the
beginning of the unification of the world.
The liberation of North and South Korea is the beginning
of the liberation of humankind.
There is only one root, and that is Korea.
This is why I have been sacrificing my entire
life for the liberation of Korea.
3. When ecclesiastic love waned, when waves of capitalistic
greed surged across Christian Europe, when starving
masses cried out bitterly in the slums, the promise of their
salvation came not from heaven but from the earth.
4. When ecclesiastic love waned, when waves of capitalistic
greed surged across Christian Europe, when starving
masses cried out bitterly in the slums, the promise of their
salvation came not from heaven but from the earth.
Its name was communism. Christianity, though it professed
the love of God, had degenerated into a dead body of
clergy trailing empty slogans.
It was then only natural that a banner of rebellion would
be raised, arguing that a merciless God who would allow
such suffering could not exist. Hence, modern materialism
was born. Western society became a hotbed of materialism;
it was the fertile soil in which communism flourished.
6. Christianity lost the ability to equal the successes of either
communism or materialism and failed to present the truth
that could conquer their theories.
Christians watched helplessly as these ideologies budded and
thrived in their midst and expanded their influence all over the
world.
7. What a pity this is! What is more, although Christian doctrine
teaches that all humanity descended from the same parents,
many citizens of Christian nations who profess this doctrine will
not even sit together with their brothers and sisters of different
skin colors.
This illustrates the actual situation of today's Christianity, which
has lost much of the power to put the words of Jesus into
practice. It has become a house of lifeless rituals, a
whitewashed tomb.
8. Human history, woven of the lives of people who are inclined
toward both good and evil, is filled with struggle. Today,
external conflicts - battles over property, people and territory -
are gradually diminishing. People are coming together
transcending the differences between races.
The victors of World War II liberated their colonies, gave them
equal rights with the great powers and included them as
members of the United Nations.
Together, they are working toward a world order.
9. Hostility and discord in international relations have been
mitigated as economic concerns come to the forefront and
nations are cooperating to construct common markets. Culture
is freely circulating, the traditional isolation of nations is being
overcome and the cultural distance between East and West is
being bridged.
Nonetheless, one final and inescapable conflict remains before
us, the war between democracy and communism.
Although each side has equipped itself with fearsome weapons
and is pitted against the other in readiness for battle, the core
of their conflict is internal and ideological.
10. Which side will triumph in this final ideological conflict? Anyone
who believes in the reality of God will surely answer that
democracy will win.
However, democracy does not possess any doctrine which can
win over communism, nor does it have the power to do so.
11. Therefore, in order for God's providence of salvation to be
completely fulfilled, this new truth should first elevate the
idealism of the democratic world to a new level, then use it to
assimilate materialism, and finally bring humanity into a new
world.
This truth must be able to embrace all historical religions,
ideologies and philosophies and bring complete unity among
them.
12. What form does this final war between democracy and
communism take?
It is primarily a war of ideologies. Indeed, this war will never
truly cease unless a truth emerges which can completely
overthrow the ideology of Marxism-Leninism that is threatening
the modern world.
Communist ideology negates religion and promotes the
exclusive supremacy of science.
13. Hence, the new truth which can reconcile religion and science
will emerge and prevail over the communist ideology.
It will bring about the unification of the communist and
democratic worlds.
The trend of the history of conflict thus confirms that human
history is the providential history to restore the original, ideal
world.
14. It is only natural for the satanic realm, which reached its
apogee in communism, to promote socialism.
This is because Satan always attempts to realize, in advance
of God, a defective imitation of the divine plan.
God's plan is to develop a socialistic economy, although with a
form and content utterly different from the state socialism that
communism actually established.
15. The Ideals of Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity
and Universally Shared Values versus Communism
Since Satan mimics God's providence in advance, the satanic
side has advocated "scientific socialism" based on the theories
of dialectical and historical materialism and has built the
communist world.
The theory of historical materialism asserts that human history
began as a primitive collective society and will be
consummated with the creation of an ideal communist society.
16. After creating human beings, God promised to realize the
Kingdom of Heaven. However, because Satan had formed
kinship relations with people before God did, God had to
permit him to construct an unprincipled world through fallen
people in a distorted imitation of the ideal society which God
intends to accomplish on the earth.
The communist world is this unprincipled world built by Satan.
17. Democracies of two types arose with the purpose of
dismantling absolute monarchy and transferring sovereignty to
the people.
Likewise, movements to further the ideals of interdependence,
mutual prosperity and universally shared values arose on
God's side, while communism was born on Satan's side, in
order to demolish economic systems which concentrated a
society's wealth in the hands of a privileged few.
18. Each of these movements has sought to establish a system
which would distribute wealth more equally among people.
The aspirations to socialism on both sides have arisen in their
providential striving to realize a society based on a truly
democratic economic system.
19. The history of Western Europe is steered by the providence of
restoration, the three aspects of religion, politics and economy
have progressed separately through their own paths of
development.
How can they come together at one point at the consummation
of providential history to lay the foundation for
the Second Advent of Christ?
21. A fundamental cause of this separate development was the
divergence of religion and science, which are endeavors to
overcome humanity's spiritual and physical ignorance.
For the paths of religion, politics and economy to converge and
realize God's ideal, a new expression of truth must emerge
which can completely integrate religion and science.
The religion founded upon this truth will lead all of humanity to
become one with God in heart.
22. Such people will build an economy in accordance with the
divine ideal.
These will be the foundations for a new political order which
can realize the ideal of creation.
This will be the messianic kingdom built on the principles of
interdependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared
values.
23. The Cain-Type View of Life
Karl Marx (1818-1883) and Friedrich Engels (1820-1895)
systematized the logic of the left-wing Hegelians as dialectical
materialism.
They were influenced by Strauss and Feuerbach and also by
French socialism.
They combined dialectical materialism with atheism and
socialism to create the ideology of communism. In this way,
the Cain-type view of life, which budded after the Renaissance
and grew through the Enlightenment into atheism and
materialism, matured into the godless ideology of Marxism,
which became the cornerstone of the communist world of
today.
24. The Abel-Type View of Life
Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was a renowned scientist
whose spiritual senses were awakened; he began a systematic
investigation of the spirit world and discovered many of its
secrets.
Although his research was long ignored by theologians,
recently, as increasing numbers of people have communicated
with the spirit world, its value is gradually being recognized.
In these diverse ways, the Abel-type view of life was maturing
to form the democratic world of today.
25. Communism was established in Russia.
Stalin soon rose to power as the antitype of Christ at the
Second Advent on Satan's side.
Since Christ comes with the ideals of the Kingdom of Heaven
on earth - interdependence, mutual prosperity and universally
shared values - the satanic side tries to realize these ideals in
advance by building an imitation of the Kingdom of Heaven on
earth, led by the satanic counterpart to Christ at the Second
Advent.
26. While Hitler was the antitype of Jesus on Satan's side, Stalin
was the antitype of the Second Advent of Christ on Satan's
side.
The fact that Hitler and his nation were destroyed, while Stalin
and his foundation of worldwide communism grew strong,
indicated that the time for building the spiritual kingdom under
the leadership of the resurrected Jesus had passed, and the
age for building a new heaven and new earth
(Rev. 21:1-7) under the leadership of Christ at the Second
Advent had begun.
28. 2nd Advent in the East
Since ancient times, the nations in the East have traditionally
been considered to be the three nations of Korea, Japan and
China. Among them, Japan throughout its history has
worshipped the sun goddess, Amaterasu-omi-kami.
Japan entered the period of the Second Advent as a fascist
nation and severely persecuted Korean Christianity.
29. China at the time of the Second Advent was a hotbed of
communism and would become a communist nation.
Thus, both nations belonged to Satan's side. Korea, then, is
the nation in the East where Christ will return.
Let us examine from the viewpoint of the Principle the various
ways in which Korea has become qualified to receive Christ at
the Second Advent.
As the nation to which the Messiah returns, Korea had to meet
the following qualifications.

31. Rev. Moon's activities may have filled a unique niche during
the Cold War.
While nongovernmental, his media initiatives and educational
initiatives in key sectors of society bolstered internal support
for governments opposed to communism.
32. A distinctive feature of his work was the extensive
popularization of a comprehensive ideological critique of
Marxism-Leninism.
Meanwhile, Rev. Moon carried out activities in communist
nations themselves which seem designed to help the
leadership of those nations come closer to the leading
Western powers.
