Fashion can be considered a form of art. Clothing styles have evolved significantly over the centuries from the elaborate designs of the 1700s to modern brands like Ed Hardy. High fashion, such as haute couture, combines excellent craftsmanship with luxurious materials and avant-garde styles use diverse textures and colors with added elements for depth and volume. Both high fashion and everyday clothing express creativity and individual style and should be viewed as art in various forms.

2. According to Webster’s New World Dictionary, Art is defined as aesthetic work. Aesthetic work could be anything a painting, sculpture, music or even FASHION!!

3. Fashion throughout the world has evolved through the centuries. From the clothes that were worn in Williamsburg in the early Seventeen hundreds to what people wear today. Such as Ed Hardy, Heatherette and Betsey Johnson. As fashion evolved, one thing remained constant; fashion could be seen as a form of art. http://www.flickr.com/photos/flintlocker/2116645858/ According to, Linda Baumgarten, clothes in Williamsburg had extensive needlework, intricate embroidery, and use of fine silk. http://www.raininghollywood.com/images/ed_hardy_rhinestone_cap_true_lovee_black.jpg Ed Hardy does a good job at showing contemporary art. This clothing line uses rhinestones, bright catchy colors and skulls to attract the eye.

4. According to fashion-era.com Haute couture is a French phrase for High fashion. Haute Couture combines excellent artistry with fashion garments. Avant Garde uses a lot of fabric of different types of textures and colors. 5. In order to consider fashion as art, one has to think outside of the box. Not only is high fashion considered art, but what we wear on an everyday basis is a form of art.
