11. 88th Air Base Wing
 As the host unit at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the 88th Air
Base Wing operates the airfield, maintains all infrastructure
and provides security, communications, medical, legal, personnel,
contracting, finance, transportation, air traffic control, weather
forecasting, public affairs, recreation and chaplain services for more
than 60 associate units.
 The Wing is comprised of more than 5,000 officers, enlisted, Air
Force civilian and contractor employees responsible for three
primary mission areas: operating the installation; deploying
expeditionary Airmen in support of the Global War on Terrorism;
and defending the base and its people.
 The Wing reports to the Aeronautical Systems Center, a major
development and acquisition product center of Air Force Materiel

12. Aeronautical Systems Center
 Aeronautical Systems Center is the largest of three product centers
within Air Force Materiel Command. The center designs, develops
and delivers dominant aerospace weapon systems and capabilities for
U.S. Air Force, other U.S. military, allied and coalition-partner
warfighters, in support of Air Force leadership priorities.
 ASC manages 420 Air Force, joint and international aircraft
acquisition programs and related projects; executes an annual
budget of $19 billion and employs a work force of more than 10,600
people, located at the base and 38 other locations worldwide.
 Approximately 9,000 ASC employees are assigned to Wright-
Patterson Air Force Base, including 5,000 in the 88th Air Base Wing.
ASC is organized into wings, groups and squadrons designed to
foster synergy in the acquisition process and speed delivery of war-
winning capabilities.
 ASC's portfolio includes capabilities in fighter and bombers,
reconnaissance, mobility, agile combat support, and installation
support.

 As the proven and enduring aerospace
security partner, AFSAC oversees system
sales and support for more than 170 models
of aircraft - a fleet totaling more than 6,600.
 AFSAC also orchestrates Air Force Materiel
Command product and logistic center
support of security assistance needs to 90
countries and nine NATO organizations.
 The center serves as a 'portfolio manager' for
more than 2400 total foreign military sales
cases valued at over $80 billion.

 The Air Force Institute of Technology, or AFIT, is the Air Force’s
graduate school of engineering and management as well as its
institution for technical professional continuing education.
 A component of Air University and Air Education and Training
Command, AFIT is committed to providing defense-focused
graduate and professional continuing education and research to
sustain the technological supremacy of America’s air and space
forces.
 AFIT accomplishes this mission through three resident schools: the
Graduate School of Engineering and Management, the School of
Systems and Logistics, and the Civil Engineer and Services School.
 Through its Civilian Institution Programs, AFIT also manages the
educational programs of officers enrolled in civilian universities,
research centers, hospitals, and industrial organizations.
 Since resident degrees were first granted in 1956, more than 16,000
graduate and 350 doctor of philosophy degrees have been awarded.
In addition, Air Force students attending civilian institutions have
earned more than 12,000 undergraduate and graduate degrees in the
past twenty years.

18. National Air & Space Intelligence Center

The National Air and Space Intelligence Center, with
headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,
Ohio, is the primary Defense Department producer of
foreign aerospace intelligence.
 NASIC develops its products by analyzing all available
data on foreign aerospace forces and weapons systems
to determine performance characteristics, capabilities,
vulnerabilities and intentions.
 The center's assessments are also an important factor
in shaping national security and defense policies. As
the DoD expert on foreign aerospace system
capabilities, the center historically has also been
involved in supporting American weapons treaty
negotiations and verification.

19. National Museum of the US Air Force
 The National Museum of the United States Air Force
located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near
Dayton, Ohio, is the service's national institution for
preserving and presenting the Air Force story. Each
year more than one million visitors come to the
museum to learn about the mission, history and
evolving capabilities of America's Air Force.
 The museum is the world's largest and oldest military
aviation museum featuring more than 400 aerospace
vehicles amid more than 17 acres of indoor exhibit
space. Thousands of personal artifacts, photographs
and documents further highlight the people and
events that comprise the Air Force storyline, from the
beginnings of military flight to today's war on
terrorism.

20. 445th Airlift Wing
 The 445th Airlift Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,
Ohio, is under the command of Air Force Reserve
Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. If mobilized, the
wing becomes part of Air Mobility Command, Scott Air
Force Base, Ill.
 The 445th Airlift Wing is composed of an Aerospace
Medicine Squadron, Aeromedical Staging Squadron and
three attached groups: the 445th Maintenance Group, which
consists of the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron,
Maintenance Squadron, and Maintenance Operations
Flight; the 445th Operations Group, which consists of the
89th Airlift Squadron, Aeromedical Evacuation
Squadron, and Operations Support Squadron; and the 445th
Mission Support Group, which consists of the 87th Aerial
Port Squadron, Civil Engineer Squadron, Communications
Flight, Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support
Flight, Security Forces Squadron, and Services Flight all of
which fall directly under the wing commander.

21. 554th Electronic Systems Wing
 The 554th Electronic Systems Wing (554 ELSW) is a
unit of the Air Force Electronic Systems Center at
Hanscom AFB, Mass. The 554 ELSW's mission is to
empower the warfighter to leverage information as an
effective weapon -- anywhere, anytime. It develops,
fields sustains and operates worldwide
communications-computer and force protection
systems and capabilities for the President and
Secretary of Defense, CJCS, unified combatant
commanders, services and specified Department of
Defense and non-DoD agencies to direct military
forces. The wing administers contracts for the
procurement of information technology systems and
services supporting DoD-wide customers. The 554
ELSW consists of two groups and two direct report
