6. Well, now I’m DEFINITELY staying indoors for the rest of the summer. Mom had a “house meeting” last night and said money is tight this year and we can’t afford to go to the beach which means no family vacation. THAT really stinks. I was actually looking FORWARD to going to the beach this summer. Not because I like the ocean and the and all of that, because I don’t. I realized a long time ago that all the world’s fish and turtles and whales go to the bathroom right there in the ocean, and I seem to be the only person bothered by this. This passage is important because it tells why Greg’s family has a bad summer.

9. The authors techniques kept me interested because I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next. For example “Mr. Jefferson (Rowley’s dad) had an official looking piece of paper in his hand with the country club logo on it. He said it was a bill for all the fruit smoothies me and Rowley ordered at the country club and the grand total was $83. After I read this passage I wanted to see how they would pay it off.

10. On a scale of 1-5 I rate this book a 5 because the author describes everything clearly and he makes this book fun by making cheesy jokes. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes funny stories & reading about peoples lives.
