This document describes a study that provided breath alcohol testing to people at recreational settings like concerts and festivals to educate them about risks of drinking and driving. Over 700 people participated. Most were young males around 24 years old. Over half reported planning to drive that night, and many had high breath alcohol levels over the legal driving limit. The study concluded the testing was useful for identifying risky drinking and driving behaviors to address in future prevention programs, though more research is still needed to show its effectiveness in reducing such behaviors.
