D.K.Hari and D.K.Hema Hari are founders of Bharath Gyan, a civilizational study initiative to
compile and present the knowledge of India, its traditions, culture and global ties, in short, its
ethos through the ages.
Presently in its 15th
year, Bharath Gyan is an endeavour to bridge old and new worlds by
repurposing knowledge from the past, for the present and future, to experience, appreciate and
apply.
D.K.Hari is an alumnus of Rishi Valley, Madras Christian College and PSG College of
Technology Coimbatore. He is a Management Professional who relinquished his over 20 years of
successful career in marketing to focus on Civilizational Studies, especially of India. He also
volunteers on the board of other non profit social organizations working in the fields of
healthcare, education and culture, such as Hindu Mission Hospital a 200 bed, multidisciplinary,
tertiary care, charity hospital in Chennai, Valluvar Gurukulam group of schools for 3500
children, mainly from the under privileged section of society, SDNB Vaishnava College for
Women, Dakshina Chitra a Heritage Centre and Narayana Universal Yoga Ashrama.
D.K.Hema Hari is an alumnus of Bombay University. She is an IT and Project Management
Professional who too relinquished her over 20 years of successful career in leading Multinational
IT companies like TCS and CSC at a Senior management cadre, offering consultancy on cutting
edge technologies and innovation, to focus on Civilization studies of India and Bharath Gyan.

This husband-wife duo of Management and IT professionals have travelled extensively to over
30 countries and collated knowledge about those civilizations and their ties with India to
understand India from the world’s perspective.
The knowledge of India embedded in books, manuscripts, oral tradition amongst scholars and
folk lore, art forms, customs etc. have all been brought together in their multi-formatted
compilation.
With factual content compiled over 15 years of dedicated research, across 108 different subjects
on the knowledge, traditions and sustainable practices of India, the Hari couple have evolved into
subject matter experts on the overall understanding of India across ages from over 8000 years
ago to the present.
Their USP is the range and depth of data they present on the Indian civilization and its ethos
from an Indian perspective.
They have given over 250 lectures across India and the globe, to wide audiences and have so far
authored 15 Books, 4 Documentaries, many Articles and a host of Short Films which are being
published in association with The Art of Living under the support and guidance of its founder
H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar. They are active on social media such as Face book, Twitter, Blog, You
Tube and Google Hangouts.
They are now readying for the next phase of their journey – that of creating experiences and
