Cover Letter
I believe I would be a good fit for the Distribution Supervisor/Manager as I have 8 years as an
assistant warehouse manager and another 3 as a department head. I have 8 years experience in
warehousing, distribution, inventory/cycle counting, quality control, shipping/receiving both
domestic/international, TL,LTL and 3PL. Was my job to supervise, loading/unloading trucks,
sort/organize and label material in the warehouse, picking/packing, quality control, production planning
(AS 400), training, shipping/receiving, and inventory control. I did daily cycle counting and I kept
track of material, stock, office and U-Line shipping supplies and ordered them when needed and
resolved any inventory discrepancies as well. I prepared shipping/receiving, production, inventory, and
quality reports for my boss. I came up with process improvements and encouraged staff to do the same.
Process improvements that would save the company time, money, and make steps or procedures more
efficient. I have supervisory experience and was involved in hiring, orientation, training, assembly
training, scheduling, and employee reviews. I supervised a staff of 18-22 employees. I was also on a
safety committee at 2 of my last 3 jobs promoting a safe and clean work place and held classes on
OSHA, safety, PPE, MSDS, ergonomics, forklift, and emergency procedures. I've used UPS, Fed-X,
and DHL software, prepared BOL's, international shipping documents and I also arranged for pickup
with many truck lines. I also performed and scheduled preventative maintenance on machines, forklifts,
cherry pickers, and pallet jacks. I'm organized, hard working, mechanically inclined, a working
manager, like being the “Go to Guy”, quick learner, career oriented, reliable and always willing to help
wherever needed. I'm looking to start a long lasting career and looking to make at least $53K/yr or
more.
Thank You,
Gregg Marciniak
