Photography project in which girls and young women who have been rescued from sexual slavery and forced labor are taught about the importance of images as a way of expressing oneself, as well as several techniques and styles of photography. At the end of the workshop, participants will collaborate with professional photographers in order to portray the feelings, ideas, or stories that the young women have developed during the workshop.
Goal equality
The students at IES Luís Seoane in Pontevedra, Spain launched a project called "GOAL: EQUALITY" to address sexist and homophobic attitudes in their classroom. They observed problems with sexist behavior disturbing daily interactions. The 21 participating students learned about gender equality issues, analyzed their own behaviors, and campaigned to promote respect among their classmates. They saw positive changes in classroom coexistence and hope to continue sharing their message with others.

A summer camp where families pretend to be climate refugees? An arts-based experiential learning experiment? A delightful and intellectually stimulating weekend in the highlands of Cornwall, full of laughter and joy?
In July 2018, seven families took part in an experimental 4-day ‘retreat’ in Cornwall, UK. The aim of this creative residency was to imagine and design how to live when sea levels rise. SUSPLACE fellow Kelli Rose Pearson and SUSPLACE project coordinator Anke de Vrieze attended RE.TREAT Cornwall as participant observers. The story starts with a full lunar eclipse, a neolithic cairn, and an unexpected storm. It ends with the Boatbarrow - an amphibious mobile art gallery. This slideshow follows their learning journey and has been compiled for your perusal and enjoyment.
Initiated by Dr. Natalia Eernstman (Plymouth College of Art, UK), the residency was part of an international research project on arts, sustainability, and experiential learning funded by The Seedbox.

LeighAnna G. Hidalgo gave a keynote address on interactive digital fotonovelas as a tool for social justice. Fotonovelas originated in Latin America as photo novels that combined images, text, and dialogue to tell stories. Hidalgo discussed using new media like video ethnographies and augmented reality to bring the fotonovela format into the digital age. She presented her work creating digital fotonovelas using theories like critical race theory and Chicana feminist epistemology to center marginalized voices and stories. Hidalgo sees fotonovelas as a way to democratize research and storytelling by making visual stories more accessible.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
