Pixar is an animation studio based in California that is known for its CGI animated films. It has won 22 Academy Awards for films created using its own RenderMan rendering software. Pixar's first feature-length film was Toy Story in 1995, which was a commercial and critical success, setting the standard for animation. Pixar has since released several other successful films including A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E and Up.
