focusing on two types which are:
Candida Disease and Crytococcus Disease
2. CANDIDA DISEASE
Candida is an infection caused by a yeast ( a type of fungus)
called candida. Candida normally lives on the skin and
inside the body, in places such as the mouth, throat, gut
and virgina without causing any problems. Sometimes,
candida can multiply and cause an infection if the
environment inside the mouth, throat or oesophagus
change in a way that encourages funfi growth. Candiasis in
the mouth and throat is also called oropharyngeal
candiasis.candiasis in the oesophagus is called oesophageal
candiasis or candida oesophagitis.
NOTE: However, oesophal candiasis is one of the most
common infection in people living with HIV/AIDS.
