Moldova is a country in Eastern Europe with a population of around 3.5 million people. The capital and largest city is Chisinau, located along the River Byk. Moldovan culture has a strong tradition of music, with famous composers like Eugen Doga and opera singers like Maria Bieşu. Traditional Moldovan foods include plăcintă, a filled pastry, mamaliga, a cornmeal porridge, and sarmale, stuffed cabbage rolls. Wine production is also an important part of Moldovan culture and economy, with the Mileştii Mici wine cellars holding the world's largest wine collection of over 2 million bottles.
